Horsebuck$ had a good day at the office last Saturday from a total of 23 races we had 8 on top selections successful. Flemington was our top venue with four winners they were Kentucky Miss @$4,Saracino @ $6,Palentino @ $9 and Royal Rapture @ $7.50, we also found it hard to separate Badiwiya and Don’t Doubt Mama,in hindsight we should have made them a bracket selection instead of our best quinella as the latter won very impressively (hindsight is a wonderful thing). Doomben was washed out after five races  we had two winners here Ringo’s A Rockstar @ $2 and Anton En Avant @ $6.70. Rosehill we had two winners Quatronic @ $2.60 and Astern @ $3.30 so Rosehill was our worst venue. All win followers would have had a winning day and for the first four tragics we only had the one result and  that was Flemington race three ,1st Detective 2nd Tessera 3rd Throssell 4th Zunbaqa for a very healthy dividend Vic $3,700,N.S.W.$ 3,000 and Qld $2,880. So taking the 1st four every race for a full unit you would have ended the day with a very handsome profit. We had three best bets two were successful Ringo’s A Rockstar and Kentucky Miss,we missed with Bullrush who we feel was disappointing, but will definitely improve as he was a bit up himself.  Our best each way,there were four of them and three ran fourth Fabrizio, Zunbaqa and Under The Louvre, these three had every conceivable chance and ran well but Rebel Dane, normally we wouldn’t tip this horse but we thought this was  a good race for him,thinking he would get a gun run just behind the leaders it didn’t eventuate and once again he disappointed. All in all it was a good day for us, until next week good luck to all horsebuck$ followers.

A very tough day last Saturday with a few surprise results. Secret Puzzle our best in Brisbane never looked like getting beaten sat just behind the leader took control in the straight and bolted in @ $6. Le Romain had a perfect run back in fifth or sixth on the fence moved through strongly at the 250m to hit the front and bloused late by Hauraki, he may have been just on the wrong part of the track but he ran very well follow. Sheidel her whole game plan was thrown out the window when Heatherly missed the kick she was caught wide with no cover and still ran a game fourth, she will be winning a group race maybe on a bigger track. Our three best each way, firstly Wheres That Dragon at Eagle Farm hit the front in the straight and skipped a couple in front but got run over in the last 100m, secondly Zin Zan Eddie at Randwick thought he wasn’t ridden all that great up vying for the lead with three others early then eased and over raced after that and never a chance and thirdly Suavito was disappointing we feel she hasn’t come up this time. We had plenty of winners in our top four selections but our on top selections are the ones that really count,our best in Brasbane won, we had three on top selections successful in Sydney namely Signposted,Dowdstown Charlie and Hartnell and we came home strongly with two winners in Melbourne race seven Voodoo Lad and the last Killarney Kid so there was definitely some joy to be had. We had mixed results last weekend our best in Brisbane BECKHAM was expected to lead but Double Impact took it up,maybe the 1600m was just a touch too far,Sydney LE ROMAIN ran a cracking race for a great second he is definitely a horse to follow and in Melbourne LAHQA had the gun run looked likely on the corner but didn’t go on with it maybe at the end of his prep and ZAM ZAM had a beautiful run and also looked likely turning for home but wilted to finish a good fourth he will definately improve. On a positive note our best each ways both saluted at good odds Firstly ANTON  EN AVANT  at $15 fixed and $10 tote, he got up in the very last stride  to win by a flared nostril and Secondly PEARLS at $7 had a beautiful run in transit, hit the front over the rise and held on for a very good first up win. Longshots REFUSE TO LOSE and ESCEEBEE both ran well but were not good enough on the day. The quaddies we nearly pulled off two, firstly in Sydney we had the first three legs Tycoon Tara,Winx,Pearls and Haptic in the last leg which was beaten a wart by a very good horse in Southern Legend and in Melbourne we also had the first three legs Bold Sniper, Royal Rapture,Heatherly and Fast Cash in the last which was beaten in a photo by Just Magical. Champion mare WINX returned with a great win in the Warwick Stakes and all you can do is beat the opposition you are opposed to and she does that each and every time and emphatically  at that. Horsebuck$ has a new web site up and running and off to a flying start. The first week four of our best were successful Name The Day $2.80,Kings Officer $7.30, Akavoroun $5.00 & Cruising Speed $13.00 the last two being legs of the Brisbane quaddie and just missing when we ran third in the last leg with Oberland. Then in our quaddie legs in Melbourne we included Mighty Like at $18 and Rapture at $17.oo and in Sydney we had Slots at $19.00. Then last our best of the day Rock On Zariz should have cantered in (unlucky) but that’s racing.We had a blowout in Melbourne our best Forgeress & Charmed Harmony were  unplaced,both had there chance but  weren’t good enough on the day, in Brisbane Beckham & Most Important (2nd & 4th) were our best, but in the quaddie we just missed with three winners and a second namely Shipwrecked 1st,Rhyme Nor Rhythm 2nd, River Racer 1st & Sagoronne 1st. Sydney we hit the jackpot after Akiko Gold and Rock On Zariz (2nd & 3rd) as our best , then the quaddie as you know we select four horses in each leg , if a horse is a 100/1 and we think it is a possibility it goes in the four. Last Saturday we had Pioneering Marenostro,Super Tycoon & Magnajoy for a very healthy return of $TEN THOUSAND AND THIRTY FIVE DOLLARS! We don’t profess to get the quaddie every week but if you like to play the exotics with our top four in these races we have some great results in that area as well. We are highly regarded as form students, we leave no stone unturned to find that next result and sometimes a twenty to one shot is a better chance than a three dollar favourite.
