BR6 H7 SHA OF GOMER($3.30)Been in terrific form this prep. Ran at the sunny coast last start in a benchmark 85 and ran on well for third when too far back. Comes back to Eagle Farm winning twice here and dropping back in grade is a bonus. Loves the distance and from barrier two would expect him to be closer to the speed here. The whips will be cracking. 

SHA OF GOMER($2.25); 2nd/$1.20 place beaten 1.1L,

MR6 H1 BLAZING REBEL($8) Ran on strongly to win by a length last start. The step out to the 2000m is ideal and loves the track. From barrier 10 should be able to get a spot midfield and hopefully with cover. Third up is unbeaten and the the 2kg claimer is perfect and is adept in all conditions. Would be surprised if not in the finish. 

BLAZING REBEL($); 5th beaten 4.5L,

MR10 H10 JUNGLE JIM($9) Would of taken a huge fitness benefit from his first up run when wide without cover but he battled on really well. He was on wet ground too which doesn’t suit him at all. The step out to the 1200m is ideal. Back to a good track and is great second up. Barrier 1 should roll forward and will be hard to run down. Huge chance. 

JUNGLE JIM($); 6th beaten 3.6L,

                                                  BEST LONGSHOT

MR4 H1 SPANISH TIDES($17) Ran on strongly last start when slowly away from the gates. From barrier 1 today we are hoping she can jump with them and be right up on the speed and with W Pinn aboard that can happen. Is a pistol 2nd up and the track and distance suits. Is adept in all conditions. If she kicks around the turn pull the persuader out !!

SPANISH TIDES($); 8th beaten 4.1L,

SUMMARY: What can we say Our Best Bet department has been on fire recently. Last week we had Give Giggles and Taunting salute for us and with a bit more luck we quite possibly could have had all 4 salute. Go Wandji was a bit stiff so next start for him. Straight to Brisbane race 9 The Lough Neagh Stakes and we think Scallopini($8) can get the job done here. Was too far back last start and didn’t come on. Is great second up and will be closer to the speed today and the distance suits. Far Too Easy($2.10) wasn’t beaten far in the Kosciuszko when too far back. A spell and a nice trial leading up to this race. Loves the track and distance and is adept in all conditions. The Big Goodbye($9.50) has shown me last couple of starts he’s ready for the step up in trip. Went way too hard last start trying to match motors with Zoustyle that’s not going to end well lol. So a bit more of a patient ride today might see him race better. Military Expert($6.50) was caught wide the entire trip last start so forgive run there. From barrier 7 hopefully with a bit more luck can get a nice run in transit and run home strongly. On best form can measure up to these. Just a quick mention on the amount of racing we have witnessed over the last couple of days. So you had an 8 race program at Caulfield and a 9 race card at Kyneton on Thursday. Then yesterday you had Moonee Valley,Geelong and Cranbourne, Nsw had Canturbury, Murbah and Goulburn and Qld had Sunny Coast and Ipswich. Thats and insane amount of racing in our opinion and they are wondering why betting has decreased over major events and on weekends. I don’t think we need to say anymore then that. And also be careful when there are races on during the week at the same venue as the Saturday meeting aka Caulfield this week. Just be mindful of wear and tear of the track because they move the rail out to protect the inside lane. So just watch the first couple of races and see how the track is playing. Enough of that lets hope we can fill the coffers once again!!
