A LOT OF FORM FROM CAULFIELD MIGHT BE BEST FORGOTTEN AS TRACK ON PACE DOMINANT.
SUMMARY: Our Best for this week are *** BR4 H1 THE LOUVRE, SR3 H2 CHURCHILL’S CHOICE, SR5 H2 CHIDAC, MR5 H1 PRIVATE EYE & MR10 H12 CONCORDE CONNIE. Disappointing in Our Best last week. Hopefully the luck will turn this week. Let’s dive straight into the Caulfield Cup and Cosmic Crusader seems to be getting better with each distance rise. Great win in the Turnbull last start. Loves the track and is adapt in all conditions. Half Yours not going as well as last year but ran on well in the Turnbull. The step out to the 2400m is ideal and loves Caulfield. Should be carrying 59kgs in this race but well weighted with 57,5kgs. Needs to find a bit on recent form but that’s what good horses do they find a way. Wine Dark Sea is an interesting overseas raider. Good run two back over the 2816m. Then carried 61kgs over the 2671m to win the Group 3 Goeffrey Freer Stakes last start. Big weight drop to 54.5kgs. Likes to lead and 2400m is his optimal distance. Ohope Wins didnt handle the heavy track last start in the Turnbull. Has been running on fairly without threatening. The step out to 2400m is ideal and back to better ground all pluses. 51.5kgs help and the tempo will suit. Ka Ying Rising is back to defend his Everest crown. A few little question marks the track being soft but we think he just wins and who knows he might be a swimmer. Cracking days racing down south with plenty of Spring action to get the blood pumping. On that Ecstatic note Good Luck to all having a crack today. Have a great day punters. Cheers Dan & Kerry Horsebuck$.
