BR5 H2 RED TOP($3.90) Was outclassed in the Winx Guineas last start. Drops in grade and stepping up to the 1800m is ideal and the 1.5kg claim should help his cause. Will be parked just behind midfield and be steaming home. Huge chance.
RED TOP($3.60); 4th beaten 0.93L,
BR8 H1 MANHOOD($4.50) Ridden upside down last start. Will be expected to lead here after a month off and back to the 1200m is ideal. Ticks a lot of boxes and will be hard to run down.
MANHOOD($4.80); 5th beaten 2.57L,
SR6 H7 VIENNA PRINCESS($3) In terrific form and should of won last start after being held up the entire straight. Will be back as expected hopefully one out one back in the small field and be charging home at a rate of knots.
VIENNA PRINCESS($3.80); 2nd/$2.40 place beaten 0.2L,
MR7 H8 SKYWOLF($8.50) Huge win last start after a year off. Is good second up and from barrier 6 will go forward. Loves the distance and if he finds the right running lane should be hard to run down. Is adept in all conditions.
SKYWOLF($11); 11th beaten 4.65L,
SUMMARY: Ucalledit($8) did the job for Our Best in style last week so happy days. Also a plethora of winners in our top 4 for multi and exotic players so plenty of action all round. Slim pickings today in regard to the top races but we have settled for Eagle Farm race 7 Blaze A Trail($2.30) is short but deservedly so. He has been in top form this winter coming from back in the field. The race is devoid of pace so Stampe might take it up here and Blaze A Trail just might settle closer to the speed. Either way with only half a kilo more than last start he should be hard to hold out. Manhattan Macca($3.60) ran well first up and does perform second up. The Ritz($10) races well first up but definitely better second up. Hail Manhattan($18) to round out our top 4. Blaze A Trail is super hard to hold out. Race 6 Flemington and Mimi’s Award($4.20) is racing in fine form and relishes this track. She likes to be right up on the speed turning for home and if she gets the break be very hard to run down. Irish Sequel($8) how fit is this horse, he’s been racing everywhere and the 2800m will suit perfectly. Moisture around and his chances improve ten fold, he will be getting home hard. Mostly Cloudy($2.30) loves this distance and will be primed. He likes to settle mid field and down on the limit will be in the finish somewhere. The Good Fight($13) hasn’t won for yonks but is in form again and he does like the track and the distance is ideal. On the limit still, might just be the trigger to put him back in the winning list. Some nice chances in Our Best this week one in particular we think was ridden upside down last start. Members know our thought process on horses being ridden out of their comfort zone… Just keep an eye on Melbourne’s weather this arvo. Cloudy here on the Goldie this morning but that won’t dampen our enthusiasm. Especially with our League team getting a rare Saturday arvo gig. So hopefully plenty of winners along with a winning team.
