BR4 H3 BATTLETON($4.20) Ran really well last after being 3 wide the entire trip and still ran on strongly. Will sit midfield from barrier 6 and the step out the 1600m is ideal. Nash will have him stoked up at the 300m and will pouncing on the lead with a 100m to go. Huge chance.
BATTLETON($4.20); 2nd/$1.60 place beaten 2L, great run behind the speed, tried hard every chance.
SR3 H2 QUEEN BELLISSIMO($3) Battled on well last when collared late. Back to a more suitable track today. 3rd up and the extra 100m suits. Will be up on pace and will be super tough to get past and is well weighted with the claim.
QUEEN BELLISSIMO($2.45); 6th beaten 6.96L, led gave nothing disappointing.
SR9 SIEGE($4.60) Hasn’t had the best of luck in his runs the last couple but just seems to find a way to win. Loves the distance and the big track of Randwick will suit. Will get back around midfield from the barrier and with clear air he will be super tough to beat with the turn of foot. Huge chance and a horse on the up.
SIEGE($3.90); FIRST GIDDYUP!! in behind the speed barged his way through at the distance in the charge of the Light Brigade and was too strong.
SR9 H4 LACKEEN($7) Has had a great trial leading into this first up attempt. Has a terrific first up record and loves the track. Has had trouble in the past with jumping away well at the start. If he jumps away slowly he will be midfield and be charging late with the speed on. If he jumps he can be right on speed and be hard to get past. The drier the better for him and the track has dried out considerably over the last 3 days. Could be good by first race? either way huge chance.
LACKEEN($4.60); 4th beaten 3.12L ran well we will be following up.
BEST EACHWAY
SUMMARY: Cracking week last week in Our Best with a winner and two placegetters and the early quaddie in Sydney that paid just over $1000. A fantastic program at Eagle Farm and the JJ ATKINS and we think Sharp ‘N’ Smart($4.20) can win here. He will be much closer today from the better barrier and should be stalking the speed. The mile suits. Super tough to beat. Brereton($10) ran on well last start over the 1400m. Looking for the mile, has a wide gate but gets back in his runs and will be steaming home. J KAH is a bonus. Ringmaster($31) ran well last start from too far back. Will get back again but could be some speed in this race and if so he will be rocketing home. The mile suits and was entered into an easier race but was scratched from that. Political Debate($5) did well to hang on last start on a chequered path. Difficult gate(9) but J Mac aboard should be able to get him in but i think the jockies will be looking to keep him wide if they can. Sheza Belter($4.80) a huge turn of foot last start to win the Sire’s Produce last start. Has barrier 10 but Pike will have her midfield and ready to pounce at the top of the straight. She can easily make history with a win in this race today. Lets head straight to the Stradbroke and we think Apache Chase($10) can lead all the way here just like last start. Perfect barrier distance suits and the loves the track. Alligator Blood($12) what a return when steaming home last start to just miss. Would of had him on top in this race but the bad barrier you simply can’t. But will be midfield and if he gets a good run he will be steaming home. Eleven Eleven($6) huge run last start when wide the entire trip. The extra 100m suits and thrives up here. Third up ideal. Won’t be midfield from this gate. Huge chance. Rothfire($14) another who is down the order due to the wide barrier. Has great track and distance stats will have to get back from that gate and try and get one in one out. With the right would not be surprised if is in the finish. Buffalo River($51) ran well last start when swamped late. The step back out to 1400m is ideal. Will go forward from the gate will sit behind Apache Chase. If its a leader biased track could one two for those horses. An absolute cracking day’s racing in the Sunshine State. Its a magnificent day here in Queensland the people and the horses will be absolutely pumped for today. Cant wait.
