OUR BEST; BR9 H6 WONDERFUL RIRI($4.60) Way too far back last start when worked home nicely. He fires 3rd up off a spell and the step out to the 1350 is ideal. Drops from Listed grade back to a class 6 which will suit. There’s a bit of pace in this race which will help. From barrier 1 will get back so hoping he gets a nice spot on the rails and with even luck should be peeling out and be charging home over the top of them. Huge chance.
WONDERFUL RIRI($5.90); FIRST GIDDYUP!!! great run in transit on the fence pulled out to the center of the track straightening. Exploded down the middle of the track at the distance when clear to bolt in.
SR8 H4 RANGES($7.50) Ran on extremely well last start considering he got so far back, it was an eye catching run that’s for sure. 3rd up today suits him even better. Track and distance suits and is adept in all conditions. From barrier he should be closer to the speed here and we fully expect him to be challenging for first place at the 100m. Great chance.
RANGES($13); 2nd/$3.50 place beaten 0.6L, unlike last start he was ridden in his comfort zone this time right on the speed. Challenged for the front at the distance and fought on strongly for a good second.
SR9 H5 SNIPPY FOX($4.75) Been in terrific form this prep winning two from two and we think he can make it three in a row. The step out to the 1400m is ideal and dropping in class as well. He likes the track and distance and from barrier 4 should be right behind the speed. The tempo should be quite strong which will suit. Jay Ford on board is a huge bonus as he knows the horse well. Even luck in running and should be hard to beat.
SNIPPY FOX($2.70); 7th beaten 2.83L, seemed to be in the perfect possie then got lost on the turn ran on okay. Not good enough today.
MR9 H2 SIG POSITANO($6.50) Ran on strongly last start when held up at a vital stage and back in trip. The step back up to the 1400m is ideal and the big track of Caulfield will suit this galloper. From barrier 2 should be right behind the pace here either on the rail or one out one back. John Allen aboard is a huge bonus. Fully expect him to be fighting out the finish.
SIG POSITANO($7.50); 3rd/$2.70 place beaten 0.95L, you would have to say this horse was a tad unlucky. Once clear hit the line hard. Next time?
SUMMARY: So close to nailing a best bet last week when Blazejowski just getting done on the post. Alleboom stayed on nicely for another placing. Hoping we can turn the tide and get a winner in that department today. Let’s dive straight into Brisbane and the Bernborough Plate and we think Niccanova($3) can get the prize here. Just missed last start. From barrier 5 will be up on speed again and stays at the 1600m which is ideal. 4th up and drops a kilo into this race. Super tough to beat. The Harrovian($3.70) ran well 1st up over the 1350m only beaten 1.15L. Stepping out the 16oom suits and 2nd up record is sound. Drops 3.5kg from last run and soft tracks and will be about midfield in running and be steaming home. Kubrick($6) has been in terrific form winning two from last three. He loves the track and distance will get back from barrier 2 with even luck in running will be getting home! Reloaded($6) has been outclassed in last couple and the drop back to listed grade will suit. Will get back from barrier 10 and will be running on and with J Mac aboard is a huge bonus. The Falvelon Quality Handicap and we think Beau Rossa($4.80) can get the win here first up. Has great gate speed but wont lead Zoustyle so probably sit behind him. He is a proven Group 1 performer and if he gets the run of the race he will be super hard to beat. Zoustyle($2.25) absolute speed machine will probably lead here. Has an outstanding record at this track and trip will be hard to catch if he is not challenged up front. Baller($7.50) has been running on well over this trip. Will get back from barrier 2 and be steaming home. Southern Lad($14) was a tad unlucky last start when held up at crucial stage. Has barrier 11 but will get back from that gate so should be sitting just worst than midfield and will be steaming home with luck in running! The horse down very bottom The Ritz($31) this is his biggest test to date but his times have been good and should be able to measure up here. Has a wide gate to contend here but with even luck in running should be steaming home. Would just like to mention See Marie($5) in race 4 at Doomben. Huge chance to make it 3 in a row. Will be up on pace today from barrier 10. Huge chance. Hope everyone had a cracking Christmas Day hopefully we can make the hangover better with a few winners !
