BR4 H2 Fighting Teo($6); drawn perfectly in gate 2 so he should get the “real” run from there. This horse is ready to ping 4th run in and with his 56kgs after the claim he will take some holding out, we thought the fence was off last meeting here lets hope that is not the case today. He relishes the distance he is Our Best.
Fighting Teo($6 – $3.70); 4th beaten 2.3L, perfect ride hit the front in the straight didn’t go on, no excuses.
BR6 H1 Alpine Dancer($11); had 2 runs in a week to fit him for this and he fires 3rd up. Good run last start after his saddle slipped only beaten 2L, he wiil try to race up behind the speed here and get a break on them at the distance.
Alpine Dancer($11 – $14); 6th beaten 3.2L, even run, raced like a horse that will benefit from the run. one more for him.
Albumin($9); raced out of his class last start(G3 open) and he is on the quick backup here and does fire 2nd up. Excels at this track and distance and from gate 1 would envisage him going forward, he has had one go on a soft track for an unplaced run finishing 3.2L back in a listed race. This bloke does have some nice ability and we expect a huge run.
Albumin($9 – $8); 4th beaten 2.8L, jumped in front then eased back along the rail, steadily made up ground to finish 4th, not entirely convinced he handled the soft track, next time in the “right” race.

Brisbane Track Good, Sydney Track Heavy and Melbourne Track Good; Last week we wrote about the Queensland 2year old Garibaldi, he ran in Sydney and his run was pretty good considering he missed the kick, he ran a nice 5th he will be hard to hold out next start. Lean Mean Machine ran okay in the Lightning too slick for him in hindsight, we will be all over him next start over 1200m. Group one Oakleigh Plate today Nature Strip is a speed demon and if gthey let rip up front it could be all over, but if it is a mad house the 3 year old Encryption($18) with 50 kegs might just give him a fright. Blue Diamond also Group One I Am Immortal($9.50) has done everything right yet the set against him is enormous and everyone tipping something to beat him even the clerk of the course’s horse is rated ahead, well I am going against the general concensus and having a play on him at those ridiculous odds. My colleague likes Vinicunca($9) to win and is a definite chance, opinion that is what racing is all about. Futurity Group One is the best race of the day in my opinion Alizee is super short here granted she is on fire at the minute but there is some serious gallopers in this and it is WFA, Best Of Days in our thought process was the best run in the C.F.Orr hitting the line strongly after being held up, this is more than a one horse race.
