BR8 H5 Pressway($3.80); short enough by our standards but he is super consistent with conditions to suit today. This is a very competitive race so a better price might be on offer, handles all types of going and this is his pet distance and 55.5kgs shouldn’t be an issue. (unplaced $3.10) Beaten (5.5l) Loomed at the distance didn’t go on with it.
MR8 H8 Mr. Sneaky($10); has been consistent the last 12 months without winning. Another that handles all conditions and he has been placed at all levels without success. Under the set weights and penalties he is in pretty well here with 56kgs and we feel this is his ultimate level. There is a ton of speed in this as you would expect and can see him hanging just off them and finishing over the top. (3RD $6) beaten (0.8l) Missed the kick slightly finished off strongly last 50m.
MR9 H4 Moss ‘n’ Dale($10); what can you say about this bloke he is drawn to get the gun run handles all distances up to 1600m and is in very well after the claim(57kgs) super hard to beat. (3RD $5); beaten (0.8l) Nice run in transit, looked to be struggling on corner but fought on for a nice third.
SR9 H10 Mapmaker($8); not an easy assignment by any stretch but now that he has struck winning form he just might go on with it here. Races best when just idling off the speed track and distance perfect, handles all going and another that will benefit from the claim of in form apprentice Weatherley(54.5kgs) he will be there when the whips are cracking. (3RD $6); Beaten (1.2l) nice run loomed large at the distance fought on every possible.
Another good day for Horsebuck$ players with 17 winners in our top 4 selections for multi players and 3 from 4 selections in our best bets finishing 3rd at each way odds and plenty of exotics. In our 2 years of operation our results are littered with fantastic Quaddie and Exotic results the last 3 weeks alone have seen a Brisbane Quaddie paying $17,000 along with 2 each for Melbourne and Sydney plus 2 First Fours, 15 Trifectas and 34 Quinella/Exactas along with 54 winners in our top four selections(19 on top) always striving for value.
Sunshine Coast track good, Rosehill track soft and Moonee Valley track good; super tough day in every state with a multitude of chances in most races. A couple of longshots today Siegfried($26)race 6 at the Sunnie Coast last start he went like last week’s pay in front and they only collared him a the distance, if Maloney can rate him better than his young rider last start he would certainly be worth a small play each way or exotics. Rosehill race 4 Don’t Tease Me($91) this horse has a very consistent record third run in and beyond maybe Kathy O’Hara will take him to the front either way he does tick a few boxes and he could also be worth a small play each way or put in all your exotics.
