SUMMARY: Our Besst for this week is *** MR8 H7 BIG SWINGER ($5.60 = $2.40) 2nd/$1.30 place tad unlucky, MR9 H$4 WINNASEDGE ($5.00 = $4.40) FIRST GIDDYUP nice run in transit too good, SR8 H6 ZAPHOD ($4.80) should have at least placed Glory Daze ran out for 50m hampering him, BR9 H5 BRUDENELL ($13) unplaced got the blows and ran accordingly, some nice value there today after a couple of weeks of shorter commodities saluting in Our Best. Sun is out in Bris Vegas this morning so look for an upgrade in track conditions. Tatts Tiara today Group 1 for fillies and mares. Always a good race with big fields and today is no exception. Manaal ($5.50) and Splash Back ($6) are the standouts this year in our humble opinion. Manaal is a quality mare and has always raced in the highest grade. She is a pistolero 2nd up and the wet holds no fears for her, probably lob right on the speed and be ready to pounce as they swing. Distance is perfectamundo now keen!! Splash back another mare that has some class her run in the Straddie was a cracker. She also relishes this distance and although she prefers dry tracks the wet won’t deter her. Gets a fair way back but can certainly rattle home when in the clear. Nice quinella. Gerringong($6) if Nash springs her and lets her roll along in front she will be super tough to run down. This mare races best fresh and handles all track conditions. Tulleries ($6.50) can’t do any more than win, last start a G3 winner at Scone followed up by a good trial win. Settle just off she will be there when the whips are cracking. Within The Law ($9) is racing extremely well getting home nicely her last two. Baker will have her super fit. Savagery Vibe ($19) has been racing exceptionally well. Enjoys the track and loves the soft. Has a beaut draw in 4 to get a lovely run just off the speed. We are keen on Manaal. The bigger stables are loading up in a lot of these big fields…. you know!!! Race 10 Rosehill is an interesting race because of Mawjood($6) and Emirate($7.50) simply because of the weights. Emirate beat Mawjood last start carrying the same weight. Today Emirate carries 3 kgs less, totally different racing patterns with Mawjood on pace and Emirate back. The latter only winning when there is moisture around which he has today. Interesting to test the old theory of weights and measures. All in all an interesting days racing with massive fields again with a swag of value let’s hope we collect some of that moola. On that surreal note ” GOOD LUCK” punters cheers Kerry & Dan Horsebuck$
