BR8 H2 Fortensky($6); forget last run wide all the way, drawn to get the perfect run here and handles all conditions we expect him to fight out the finish.
Fortensky$4.40); 4th beaten 2.7L missed the kick was well back second last coming to the turn making ground when held up momentarily in the straight probably should have placed.
SR8 H6 Patrick Erin($12); very good run last start and finished the race off strongly when clear, he has been crying out for this distance and the 51kegs is areal bonus.
Patrick Erin($16); FIRST we pinpointed this horse for the Metropolitan a few weeks ago and the ex kiwi got the job done for us by the skin of his teeth. GOUGUDTHING!!!
Mornington R6 H1 Street Spun($7); this horse is in super form, actually well weighted here with his 59.5kegs, his young rider has the key to him and he could take it up again. Ticks a lot of boxes.
Street Spun($8); 8th beaten 8.4L weak effort led them up gave nothing.
Caulfield R8 H5 Comin’ Through($7.50); only got going the last 200m last start and finished off strongly in the Group 1 Makybe Diva. He is a serious racehorse and definitely the forgotten horse of this race.
Comin’Through($7); 5th beaten 3.9L had a great run on the fence behind the leaders but decided he was only going to plug to the line is so much better than that run.
BR3 H2 Polemic($23); we stated after his last start in a similar race that we hoped they would give him another crack at a similar race in town. Well here he is and at a better price this time, lets hope his young rider can have him up in a midfield position a little closer to the speed and he is nicely placed after the claim.
Polemic($14); 7th beaten 6.1L well back 2nd last on the turn ran widest made some ground maybe Saturday city grade is just beyond him.
SUMMARY; Super Saturday for us with the Main Quaddie at Randwick paying $11,419(we are the quaddie kings) and Our Best Patrick Erin getting the money at $16 and also Hartnell winning the Epsom for us at $20 and well documented in our pre race summary. Thought Shoals was going to salute for us also only to go down by a bee’s lip (: we think she can definitely win the Everest and Ace High is a huge chance in the Caulfield Cup. Caulfield was very on pace on Sunday so some of the form there can be a little misleading. Seventeen winners in our top four selections eight on top and two main quaddies Doomben also $242. Doomben Track Good; Randwick Track Good; Caulfield Sunday Track Good; Epsom handicap today we like the old boy Hartnell we think he is really well placed here with 57kgs and he is a peach 3rd up and we are not underestimating Shillelagh here if this mare can get a crack at them at the distance she might be hard to hold out. In the Premiere Stakes we think Shoals can beat the favourite Redzel she is a very talented mare and a multiple Group1 winner great price at $12.The first two year old races are usually a look on affair but we feel Satin Socks might just up and run in her race at $12. A cracking days racing at Randwick and followed up by Caulfield on Sunday very exciting indeed. Collingwood into Storm just might be a good double I will be cheering for both and on that note have a great weekend and “GOOD LUCK” to all
