MR8 H2 REVOLUTIONARY MISS($6); very good mare racing in top form again for Maher. She certainly relishes this circuit and handles all conditions. Drawn a little awkwardly but if her hoop can get her forward to be just off them she will take some holding out again.
REVOLUTIONARY MISS($4.40); 2nd/$1.90 place beaten 0.5L, led every possible chance.
MR10 H9 COASTWATCH($9); Freedman trained galloper that was terribly unlucky last week behind Jimmystar. He has always raced in Group or Listed class winning multiple times, so is well up to this. The 1400m is his best and he does like Caulfield. Does his best racing just behind the speed and we certainly expect him to be pinging over the top of Gentleman Roy at the distance.
COASTWATCH($9); 13th beaten 13.97 L, very poor did nothing.
BR10 H10 ZAKIYYA($9); another Waller galloper (surprise (: in good BM form. She drops into barrier 9 after a plethora of scr. here and she should be able to slot into a decent track. Loves the distance and has won here, we think she is overs and fully expect her to be running home hard again.
ZAKIYYA($); 4th beaten 4.3L, forget the run we will be on next start.
SUMMARY: big day last week and Yellow Brick flew the flag for Our Best great price considering his class. Plenty of action for all members especially one that was visiting his Kiwi friends in the land of the long white cloud. Cracking days racing today and where to start The Everset a great field of in form sprinters. We think Giga Kick($12) is overs here and this bloke is a pistol 3rd up. He’s only been out spelling so he won’t have lost any of his ability. Two “nice ” runs after the break will have him cherry ripe here. Sitting just off them he will be chiming in big time at the distance. Sunshine In Paris(9.50) quality mare and she absolutely pings over this course. She will also be just behind the leaders and we all know how quickly she can let down. Bella Nipotina($8) been a quality mare for a long time now an is going as well as ever. She will drift back and although she handles all conditions and if the track happens to deteriorate she will sprout wings. Top class. I Wish I win($6) top class always does his best and 3rd up? and Joliestar($6) who knows how good she might be. That is our five but realistically there is 12 starters 12 chances. But I will be on Giga Kick. The Caulfield Cup is a lottery but we have settled for Duke De Sessa($12) this horse has been going along nicely and out to the 2400m now his pet course he is ready to ping. Loves wet condions we think he will take a sit behind Eliyass here and pounce at the 100m. Eliyass($6) the distance who knows but he is all class and will give them something run down. Zardozi($7) she will be just off here and she might just be peaking at the right time. Buckaroo(4.20) Land Legend($7) and Fancy Man($100) round out our top 6. Gumdrops($13) might be hard to hold out 2nd up race 5 Caulfield. Brisbane is a minefield today with dual acceptors swag of emergencies and a thousand scratchings.
