BR1 H5 NIKAU SPUR($12) Been ticking along nicely this prep with a nice run in Listed company last start and wide most of the way too. Finally steps out to the 1800m fourth up. Should be able to sit midfield here from barrier 9. Loves the track and distance and is adept in all conditions. Drops in grade and is a huge each way chance.
NIKAU SPUR($13); 7TH BEATEN 4,3l, DID NOTHING VERY DISAPPOINTING.
MR9 H14 VELOCE CARRO($7.50) Won impressively first up. Has had a let up of 6 weeks but will be cherry ripe for this assignment. Loves the track and distance. Nicely down in the weights here with only 54kgs. Should sit behind the speed here and will be charging late.

Another tough day for Our Best last week but plenty of winners in our top 4 and exotics to keeps us going. Let’s dive straight into the big one the Group 1 Oaks and Scarlet Oak($3.80) has put the writing on the wall last start with a tough determined win which is what you want in a stayer. J Mac sticks always a positive sign. The Kiwi Mare Moonlight Magic($10) was great against the Boys last start in the Derby when wide throughout and 20 lengths off the lead at one stage. Drops 200m and with a better barrier can be closer to the speed here she will be there at the finish. Molly Bloom($5) another kiwi filly who was wide throughout last start too and her run was excellent. Group 1 winner, third up peaking for the 2200m and should be parked behind a genuine tempo here and will be chiming in just at the top of the straight. Ahuriri($6) should have been fighting out for first place last start. Dropping 300m is ideal the only negative is the extremely wide gate but her racing pattern is to get back but they will be hoping for speed on and her staying capabilities to come to the fore. Our smokey for this race was Kenyada but its scratched watch for her popping up in a race soon she would of been challenging for the win in our opinion today. Food for thought. Another cracking day and a cracking days racing in the Sunshine State with a bit of value we feel.
