BR5 H4 YELLOW BRICK($5): very good racehorse and goes extremely well first up. He ticks a lot of boxes here with track and distance and wet conditions. Comes into 11 after scr. and in the real world should race on the speed. We realise he has a big prep but he certainly looks the class
YELLOW BRICK($6.50); 2nd/$2.40 place beaten 0.2L, huge run sat wide midfield entire. Died on his run and understandably so. He is a massive follow in anything.
BR9 H7 GOLDSBOROUGH($19): this bloke is usually a pistolero first up. Track and distance perfect wetter the better. Drawn 13 but you would think he will possie up just behind the speed. We seriously think he will be there when the whips are cracking.
GOLDSBOROUGH($19); 12th beaten 9.2L, jumped well allowed to drift back to midfield. Made a short dash out wide in the straight then eased and not knocked about. Great fitness run.
SR10 H3 BAROQUE ROAD($5.50): first uppers seems to be our genre today. This guy is no exception and loves the mud. Distance is no issue and he tends to race on the speed fresh. Should be firing on all 6 at the distance.
BAROQUE ROAD($7); 5th beaten 1.5L, beaut run behind leader loomed large at the 300m. Battled on strongly condition told last bit. Queensland bound hopefully.
Goodwood Handicap Group1 Adelaide: I Am Me($7) is a quality mare that has always run well in G1’s. Her last start will have her cherry ripe now. Great draw(1) to be sitting right on their hammer and let go at the distance. Skybird($14) is a top class filly third up here and ready to swing. She likes the track and the distance. Will settle back around midfield and with 53kegs will be chiming in big time at the 100M. Amelia’s Jewel($4.20) no need to say to much about her as we all know she will compete. Loves the distance and she will sit just off pace and be there when the whips are cracking. Not dismissing Shgrippa($23) his last run was a beauty sitting 3 wide on speed entire trip and only beaten 0.6L. He has a great record here and if he gets a half decent run from his wide gate he might beat them all with 3kgs less. Climbing Star($18) big win last start in G1 coming from well back. Benedetta($4.60) likes the track and distance and is very fit. Super tough race as it should be, I Am Me and Skybird might just fight it out. The track at Newcastle is getting heavier as we speak and Sunnie Coast is also heavy so swimmers to the fore today. Always makes for a tricky day. Our Best has been getting a bit of a caning lately so 3 there today. Showers up here today on the Goldie.
