BR7 H2 LOST IN TRANSIT($5) First up today and has trialled well with two placings. Great track and distance form. Will go forward from the wide gate. If he gets cover he will be hard to beat!
LOST IN TRANSIT($5.50); 6th beaten 8.3L, led but never looked happy weakend quickly. Disappointing. Poor race recovery.
BR8 H2 ZARASTO ($3.80) Has a trial win to start the prep. Is unbeaten at Eagle Farm. Has terrific early gate speed and loves to lead. The 1000m will suit this speedster and will be hard to run down!
ZARASTRO($5.50); 8th 4.2L, ride?? rider thought it choked down. 3 wide vying for the lead being restrained not convinced.
SR10 H3 KIBOU($5) Has trialled nicely with a placing and win so should be ready first up. Likes the track and distance. Plenty of speed on the inside of him so will most likely ta
RACE ABANDONED
SR6 H4 BOIS D’ARGENT($9.50) Has been racing well this prep. Wasn’t disgraced in Tancred(G1) last start. Peaks third up today. A drop in distance and class is ideal and drops 2.5kgs for good measure. With the showers around in Sydney the track should stay in the soft range and this suits this galloper. Should roll forward from barrier 6 and sit just behind the pace. A great eachway hope.
BOIS D’ARGENT($5.50); 4th beaten 4.3L, perfect run in transit tried hard from the distance in the heavy going. Not good enough today.
SUMMARY: Tough day for Our Best with Foxy Frida being unlucky and should have finished closer but that’s racing sometimes. Lets dive straight into the action here and Sunshine In Paris($4.80) will be hard to beat in the All Aged Stakes ran really well last start in first try in Heavy conditions only beaten 0.5L. The step out to the 1400m’s third up is ideal. From barrier 2 should let the speed cross her and get a nice trail into the race. Will be running home strongly. Most people are saying Private Eye($9.50) was disappointing last start, think that’s a bit harsh considering he sat wide the entire race. Has had a freshen up with a nice trial win and steps out to the 1400m which will suit and allow him to be midfield hopefully with cover. Chain Of Lightning($10) lead all the way last start in the TJ Wouldn’t be surprised if she lead again here on a wet track and mares in form stay in form. Track and distance suit. If you were on Espiona($4.60) last start it was a horror watch never saw daylight until the very end and only beaten 0.8L. The step out the 1400m will suit and is adept in all conditions. Will be steaming home. Southport Tycoon($6.50) the form around her is insane being franked in the George Ryder last start. Has had two trial placings since a freshen up the only query we have is that she is back to 1400m. A quality race but would be surprised if these 5 horses aren’t figuring in the finish. Just a quick mention about the Quakka over in Ascot and Overpass($4.20) loves it over here and loves it first up. Oscar’s Fortune($5) might just have the better of Amelia’s Jewel($3.50) again from the good draw and loves to lead. Bella Nipotina($7.50) will be steaming home at a rate of knots. King of Sparta($6) is a 1200m specialist and will also be running home strongly. Cracking races all around with Mornington looking like a tough program with plenty of chances in each race.
