BR6 H1 OUR BENEFACTOR($6.50) Took the step up to open company last prep and won impressively. Has had a nice quite trial leading to this first up run and the 1400m won’t be an issue. Will be just off the pace here from barrier 11 with plenty of pace in this race. Is a nice type and will be in for a good prep.

BR8 H7 CUNNAMULLA FELLA($3.30) Great run 3rd up when leader dictated terms in front and kicked but pegged back the margin nicely. Stays at the 1600m and is 4th up. Will suit Eagle Farm better here. Should be able to sit midfield with speed on the inside. Super fit and ready to win.

MR3 H3 FANCIFY($2.70) Huge run first up over the 1200m when out in front and ran along from the 800m’s so the winner had all the favours. Absolutely loves 1400m, Flemington and 2nd up. Barrier 2 helps with her leading here and should be able to control things. Looks the standout.

BR9 H8 BLUE SPINEL($18) Back to the 1000m’s was ideal last start when running home gamely for third. Stays at the 1000m and is even fitter 4th up. Loves the track and distance and would suggest he will be steaming home! Great each way chance.

SUMMARY: Very disappointing in Our Best last week but Drifting looked to have something wrong with it. So a forgive there maybe. Lets dive straight into the action And the Group 1 Lightning is a cracker and we think I am Me can grab the win here. You have to have a good straight record over this trip and she has that in spades. Loves good tracks will sit just behind the leading bunch here. Hard to say where the best place to be will be by that stage but up the middle is all ways a good spot to be. Growing Empire had a cracking spring preparation with placing in the Everest and Coolmore his Coolmore run was a little flat so that was an end of run prep. First up today nice solid trial. Will be one of the leading horses here and the 1000m will suit. It will be interesting to see him in the flesh to see how he has bulked up. Will be in it for a long way. Switzerland was way to fresh first up last prep bit coltish lol. If he keeps it together he will be in it for a long way. Mornington Glory has a great record over this track and trip. Is good 1st up and a nice trail as well. Can take this out first up. Traffic Warden has trialled really well and won a jump out as well. Had excuses at Flemington before end of prep. Is great first up and will be ready to fire and Jamie Melham aboard is a huge bonus. A huge day of racing in the Southern Sates with Sydney offering up some interesting match ups and Via Sistina is returning and looks very hard to beat.
