MR4 H9 CARDIGAN QUEEN($15); good mare definitely up to Group3 level. Huge win last time when the speed was on and we envisage the same scenario today. She will settle back as is her style and power home. It seems they have found the key to her now and Coffey on a plus. This is a good mares race but we think she is overs.

SR6 H2 VILANA($5.50); this galloper pings big time first up and Group 3 level is no issue for him. He is a pistolero at Randwick and relishes the distance. His 3 Group1 runs before a spell were very good considering he had little luck. We would hope to see him rally up behind the speed here fresh and challenging big time at the distance.
VIALANA($5.50); 5th beaten 2.84L,
BR6 H4 FLYING JOY($16); this mare is racing extremely well and is in this race nicely with 56.5kgs after the claim. The drier the better and the distance is perfect. She will most likely sit just off the speed here and her young apprentice should have her chiming at the distance.
FLYING JOY($14); 6th beaten 5.17L,
BR7 H3 EXTRA FLASH($19); another one that is value after a huge run first up in a Randwick C3. May we so bold and predict this horse just might lead them here from gate 3. Young apprentice on taking his weight to a winnable 56kgs. He was probably overs at Randwick and goes to another level second up. Trialled beautifully before that run and he certainly can give these something to chase down with a 100 to go.
EXTRA FLASH($21); 5th beaten 3.6L,
SUMMARY: big day last week for members with a winner in Our Best Pocket Full($6.80) and 2 placings along with a plethora of winners in our top 4 for multi and exotic players so a stack of action all round. Super day of racing down south great horses, huge fields and many chances in each. So we will have to tip toe through the tulips today and curb our enthusiasm we just might come away with some nice value results. The Everest and Think About It($4) great horse covers all bases will be just behind the speed hard to hold out. I Wish I Win($4.60) will get back and be steaming home late. In Secret($10) we won’t be selling her short here 3rd up as she is a top quality Group performing mare. She will settle just off them and be chiming in big time. Private Eye($6.50) is a class act and always a chance off a hot pace. Cylinder($10) very good racehorse fit, on speed here? The Caulfield Guineas G1 Militarize($2.40) is the benchmark here with super Group1 form he will be steaming home big time. Steparty($4.40) unbeaten jumping to another level here but win he does, behind speed here. Veight($15) let’s not drop off this galloper 3rd up here he should get an absolute peach of a run behind suggested leaders Rock Empire or Limburg.King Colorado($9) and Scentify($19) our next best. If they go lickety split in front Militarize might just blitz them. Amelia’s Jewel($2.40) is the rage in the Toorak G1 and deserves to be well in the market but it wouldn’t surprise us for See You In Heaven($31) to be right in the thick of things at the distance. If she can get a nice run on speed from her tricky gate will be tough to run down with 52kegs. Once again just be mindful when listening to all the “experts” on how the tracks will play out, self observation is best.
