BR1 H4 FETCH($4.60); perfect draw for this galloper you would assume to be right on the speed and there is plenty of it here. Track and distance ideal and likes the dry surface. The most weight she has had to carry but is in form and a pistol 3rd up.
FETCH($7): 2nd/$2 place beaten 0.83L), jumped well in front then took a sit. Held up for a fair chunk of the straight. Out in time? Unsure
M4 H6 ROARING ENGINE($10); this is a weak LR and this horse has been racing well in similar class. He settles midfield and steadily makes ground so we think the 2400m will suit. He is also very well bred and should be chiming in at the right time.
ROARING ENGINE($13); 6th beaten 5.95L, every chance.
SR9 H12 TAMERLANE($4.40); in super form and track and distance suits. Handles all conditins and his 53.5kegs is the key factor here. He will roll forward and prove super hard to run down.
TAMERLANE($6.20); FIRST GIDDYUP!!! straight to front never in danger won easiy.
SR10 H1 MAOTAI($8); back in good form at this level and only up 1 kilo on his last 2 efforts. He likes to roll forward and is best suited just behind the speed. Track and distance okay and definitely prefer tracks in the soft range. Great chance and a great price.
Maotai($6.50); 2nd/$2.50 place beaten 1.9L, good run just couldn’t pick up quick enough with his weight. Ran well.
SUMMARY: two placings in Our Best last week and all had their chance. Plenty of action elsewhere. Massive fields still the order of the day riddled with some crazy markets. Soft tracks down south with both their rails out 7M and Bris Vegas out 3M makes for interesting racing. Group1 All Aged WFA Sydney and we are sticking solid with the baldy faced Cascadian($11) he is racing in super form. Loves the mud and distance this bloke has raced at this level his entire career. Gets back but will be winding up big time. Zaaki($6) great horse and ticks a lot of boxes here on speed hard to beat. Giga Kick($2.80) raced midfield last start and ran well beaten by a better horse on the day. Mazu($6) always a chance especially in the wet. Don’t discount Roch ‘N’ Horse($19) showed a glimpse of her best form last start. Group1 Champagne Sydney and Don Corleone ($3.70) might just do it for the family here. Good 2 year old will get back but can get home hard, distance will suit and wet track no probs. Militarize($1.95) bolted in last start on the heavy and also likes to sit back. Tom Kitten($9) good win last start and townsend($20) will improve big time here. Another big day in Sydney lets hope the track plays fair considering the rail and conditions. We have a liking for Bill The Boxer($10) at Sandown nice first up run and would like to see him lead here. Plenty of value again today in some very tricky races so we will tread wearily. Cracking day on the Goldie hopefully we can finish it off with some great results.
