OUR BEST:

BR7 H1 BLACKJACK BOOM($8.50); big win last start at this circuit in good time. He relishes this distance and handles all conditions, he will rally up behind the speed. This is a good field hence the price and although up in weight he has plenty of ability. He will be motoring the last 50m. Fraad on bonus.

BLACKJACK BOOM($7.50); FIRST GIDDYUP!!! great win charged at the distance simply too strong in the end. 

BR9 H1 RACECOURSE ROAD($4); we thought he was poorly ridden last start being 3 wide outside the leader. He will be right up on the speed again or take it up either way he will be hard to run down the last 100m.

RACECOURSE ROAD($5.50); 2nd/$2.20 place beaten 0.1L, led kicked strongly at the distance beaten a whisper right on the line.

SR4 H3 EXPAT($3); this mare is a natural leader and has a great record dropping back to the 1300m from 1600m is not a problem. She flies around this circuit and is well in here. This level won’t bother her and we expect her to lead. Tough to run down.

EXPAT($2.70); FIRST GIDDYUP!!! straight to the front never headed, challenged strongly at the distance but she was never going going to get beaten really.

SR7 H11 NO COMPROMISE($6.50); two great runs this time in from well back and from his gate (14) will be back again. Nicely weighted here with 53kgs is adept in all conditions but does relish a soft surface. We are expecting this horse to shine this prep, he will be coming hard and fast the last 50m in a Chris Wallerathon.

NO COMPROMISE($8.50); 2nd/$2.60 place beaten 2.5L, back last ran home strongly albeit a checkered path through the entire field. Building nicely.

SUMMARY: big day last week for Our Best followers with Cracker Esgee and Coastwatch saluting happy days!! Plenty of winners for multi runner and exotic players. A couple of disappointing efforts in the main races but in hind sight we think I’m Thunderstruck will hit back big time next start. Group one Lightning and we think the beast Nature Strip($2.70) will get the prize an outstanding sprinter particularly at Flemington and all conditions. Masked Crusader($8) will drift just off the speed and get home hard Eduardo($4) J. Pride has taken this horse to the level he deserved and will make it difficult. Home Affairs($6) top colt just feel he will ping big time next up. Super tough to go past the favoured ones in the big races today namely Anamoe($1.75) the 1400m should suit here and Queen Of The Ball($2.60) she should ping straight to the lead from gate 1 and be tough to run down. Just like to mention Crosscheck($18) Rosehill race 10 this horse has been in good form this time in and probably should have won last start when never got a crack at them the last 50m after being slowly away. Handles all condtions but relishes soft, not an easy race but there are none!!!
