SR9 H10 SOMETHING FAST($6); very good run last start and should get a nice trail up behind the speed again from the good draw. He is in pretty well after the claim and he relishes this distance and second up no probs. Will be super tough to hold out.
SOMETHING FAST($5.50); FIRST, jumped straight to the front controlled race far too good. GIDDYUP!!!
MR9 5 NOTIO($8); this bloke is a pistol second up and is very well weighted here after Poy’s claim. Perfect draw from this tricky 1400m start so should be able to slot in just off the pace. We are expecting big things He is Our Best!
NOTIO($10); 9TH BEATEN 4.7L, this horse never got a crack at them in the straight but that’s racing, we will certainly be having another dip at him next start in the right race.
BR8 H13 RECKLESS CHOICE($11);this is a very consistent galloper and he can handle this level whilst still down on the minimum. He just might race a tad closer here from the good draw(3) and he handles all conditions. There is plenty of pace here so he should be able to get up a full head of steam and run them down.
RECKLESS CHOICE($13); 9th beaten 5.2L, settled last never looked likely in a leader dominated race. Maybe end of prep for him.
BR9 H2 CRUZE($10); another that races well fresh and should be able to race just behind the speed here, he races well in all conditions and the track and distance suit. If he can get a crack at them at the distance he just might blow them away.
CRUZE($13); 5th beaten 4.1L, also leader dominated but our horse had a beaut trail behind the leader, was there at the distance but never looked like picking up the leader. Did enough to suggest a win next outing is not beyond him.
Great results last Saturday in OUR BEST BETS for subscribers with plenty more action today. For Facebook followers the Christmas Cup at Randwick is a very disappointing race indeed with favourite Miss Moana a BM70 mare and this is a “Listed”race. The Queenslander Capital Gain($17) is our on top selection, he is a Group1 winner as a 2 year old and his only 2 runs here were in Group1’s where he O/R badly in the Derby after leading. Distance no problems for him so something E/W on him for us, Alward has never won at the distance in 7 goes and take your pick from the rest. Villiers and we like Quackerjack his form is much more consistent this time in and he does relish the Randwick Mile , Live And Free and Aqua DÍvina hard to beat. Compressed markets are to the fore these days so we have to search the Milky Way for value(: and more often than not achieve our goal. All things being equal today there are a lot of favourites or close to, that certainly stand out in their races especially in Bris Vegas except for a couple of exceptions there. POST RACE SUMMARY; Something Fast($5.50) kept the flag flying in OUR BEST BETS when he bolted in and Quackerjack($3.40) won for the Villiers for us not the sort of odds we relish but win he did. We did suggest in our pre race summary that there were quite a few horses around that price($3 or 2/1 in old the vernacular) range that looked the goods and the day panned out that way. Our motto here at HORSEBUCK$ is odds on look on as we think the majority of them are false favourites and not purely market driven if you get my drift. There were 25 winners in our top 4 selections(10 on top) best being Seasons($7.50), Moore Euros($7.60), Wings Of Pastrami($6.50) and Vienna Power($6) which shows just how close the markets were. This time of year is renowned for winners in this price range ($3 – $7) as the better horses will more often than not succeed due to field quality. We have filled the Xmas stocking already with some great results in OUR BEST BETS the last few weeks so lets see if we can roll into the new year with some great exotics.
