Clarice Cliffs(0.3L) 2nd/$1.35, Aristia 3rd/$3.40

MR8 H14 Amphritite($4.60);  this filly has come back in super form, last start she gave her stablemate Fundamentalist wind burn at the distance when that filly was jogtrotting. We feel this her optimum distance and drawn beautifully to get a dream run if they choose to race forward again. We are confident she can beat the males here. She is OUR BEST.

Amphritite($4.60 – $4.20); 3rd (place$1.80) beaten 2.8L, beaut run just behind the leaders but just couldn’t quicken at the right time. Raced a bit like a horse that will get further or a bit flat 2nd up next time.

SR8 H2 Noire($6.50); the days when you put a line through anything that is racing second up has long gone. This mare flies 2nd up and she has some good numbers around this track and distance and she can handle all conditions. She likes to drift back and run home hard and as long as the track is playing that way she will be right in the finish

Noire ($6.50 – $6); last beaten 7.4L, bumped at the start(stewards report) got back as is her usual pulled out in the wide in the straight but did nothing. No excuses here.

MR6 H13 Zebulon($17); This horse was in our best eachway last start and ran a great 6th with not a great deal of  luck in the straight. That was his first run after a long layoff and he has second up form. We like the fact Luke Currie is back on, meeting a similar field here and he “might” race a tad closer here from the good draw. He will be there when the whips are cracking.

Zebulon ($17 – $16); 3rd/place$4.40 beaten 1.2L, was hampered at the 600m by Grunt, ran on strongly in the straight for a good third, getting fitter third time lucky!

SR7 H5 Fundamentalist($13); Probably over the odds here, appeared to be coasting at the distance last start when her stablemate Amphritite zoomed on by. She was entered for the Australian Guineas but so was Amphritite and the Hayes camp have brought her here instead. She is a classy filly and will be on the speed and lets hope Clipperton doesn’t try to be too “cute” at the distance like her last postilion was when coasting at the distance, we say let her rip. This is a very strong fillies race so any advantage you can get on them in the straight “TAKE IT”.

Fundamentalist ($13 – $14); 2nd/place$4.40 beaten a bee’s wing 0.1L, beautiful ride by Sam Clipperton had her travelling beautifully in front and pressed the button at the distance and she kicked, thought we had it until she pricked her ears just before the line, great run.

MR9 H1 ARISTIA($17); This filly is a Group 1 winner albeit over 2500m Oaks, she has shown in the past she can race well fresh and race closer over a sprint. We feel this distance is ideal for her 1st up and it is a Group 3. Short priced favourite Clarice Cliffs won a BM70 last start at Pakenham beating Miss Vixen, she may well be extra smart and her form might translate to Group3 level but we are prepared to go around her and even put Set To Sparkle in for second and take the QUINELLA with that filly as she is very fit. Aristia has bigger fish to fry but is undoubtably the class runner here. We expect her to be in the finish.

Astiria ($17 – $14); 3rd/place $3.40 beaten 1.3L, she was held up for a couple of hundred meters in the(500m mark) straight when clear she ran home strongly. We will be getting a nice win from her in the near future.

QUEENSLAND Brisbane Track Good(showers), Sydney Track Good and Melbourne Track Good( EARLY START THERE TODAY 10AM QUEENSLAND TIME); We are very interested in the West Oz gallopers today namely Battle Hero($12) and Material Man($4.40) as they are both in winnable races. Battle Hero is dropping back from Group1 status to Listed grade, he does have 60kgs and a short priced favourite to deal with but his overall stats have him right in the finish. Material Man is a quality horse with great stats also, he is dropping back a notch here to Group2 after a big run in the Futurity G1, SUPER hard to beat. It has been raining at the Gold Coast all morning so lets keep an eye on track conditions Brisbane at Doomben. We declared ourselves the quaddie kings a few weeks ago and haven’t  struck a main quaddie since (self praise ?), lots of early quaddies but small divis, time to get back on track and crack another big one. Plenty of great results last week with plenty of winners in our top four with 7 on top and lots of exotics with a nice first four $1,300 and 5 trifectas and plenty of quinellas. We have some nice value runners going around today in Our Best ,pretty confident of some nice results there. To see all our results jump on our web site www.horsebucks.com.au and check them out. Doomben track has been downgraded to soft and we have gone over our selections and most handle soft conditions except race 6 our on top selection Emphasis is not an exponent of wet conditions. Some really good races in Sydney and Melbourne “DON’T FORGET THE EARLY START THERE” and even though are quite a few shorties going around “always be aware of the value especially in the better races”. On tht note have a great weekend and above all “ENJOY YOUR RACING” and “GOOD LUCK” to all from HORSBUCK$

MATERIAL MAN pulled up with the thumps, BATTLE HERO maybe not up to this level.
