BR5 H6 Hingus Rose($8); This is her first start in Open class, but it is not an overly strong race. She has the luxury weight of 51kegs and whereas she handles all conditions she should get a soft track which she relishes. The 1350m is no problem as she has won over 1400m and been placed 2 from 3 here at this distance, it was a tough run last start, she is an on pacer and the one they all have to beat. LATE SCRATCHING
MR7 H5 Sir Charles Road($10); very good run last start(4th) here over the same course when ran home strongly from midfield. He is a genuine Group horse with plenty of ability. You would think he is looking for further but he is a 3 time 1600m winner and his second run over this trip 4th run in this prep is perfect. I am sure Dunn will have him placed ready to pounce at the distance.
Sir Charles Road($10); 7th beaten 5.5L one word DISAPPOINTING.
BR6 H7 Tucano($15); This 8yold hasn’t won for an eternity but has had a lot of issues and his last start 3rd here over 2200m was encouraging. He meets the same 3 horses that figured in the finish of that race all significantly better at the weights. Back to the 2000m here and 5kgs less we expect his young rider Murphy to again take it up with his light weight, we think he is overs here. GIDDYUP!
Tucano($14); 3rd beaten 2.1L didn’t take it up like we thought but did enjoy a nice run behind the leaders, he fought hard in the straight to finish 3rd $3.60 place.
SR7 H9 Resin($8); Beautifully bred 4year old mare with a very good record. She has come back in great form winning a BM 78 by 3lengths on a soft track after being hampered early and getting further back than she likes. Admittedly it was a midweek race but make no mistake she will handle this level and barring any incidents she should race closer. This is a very good group of mares all seasoned at this level but we think Resin(54kgs) will give them something to run down at the distance.
Resin($4.60); FIRST relished the conditions and after sitting wide bolted in. She will win again. GIDDYUP!!!

Resin($4.40) kept the outstanding run going in Our Best/Best Eachway selections and Tucano ran 3rd paying $3.60 we are always consistent but the last few weeks we have been outstanding with winners
PRE RACE SUMMARY; Doomben Track Soft;Randwick Track Soft; Caulfield Track Good; The Caulfield Cup is finally here and we have not changed our view on Ace High($11) we have been with him since his second in the Australian Derby beaten a whisker(protested) but that’s in the past we are only interested in his form since resuming and it has been outstanding really, all in W.F.A. races culminating in a win at his last start in the 2000m Hill Stake by 2L, he is a genuine staying Group1 horse and can race up in the first half dozen and Ollie is hungry for number 5 he is a SUPER CHANCE. Best Solution($15) if this bloke drew a decent gate(17) we would be petrified of him. He is also a genuine Group 1 horse and if he gets the breaks will be right in the finish. Big Blue did the right thing for us last week scoring at big odds he is backing up today in similar conditions goes up 3kgs but that won’t bother him and he is out to $8 outstanding value if he can lead on his Pat Malone again and he will stay all day. Race 10 at Doomben we have Foxy Affair$5 on top(very hard to beat) but there is a horse there called Hidden Gold($101) he likes soft conditions and second up we would definitely be putting him in all the exotics.
