Summary; Another great result for Our Best of followers when that great straight sprinter Redkirk Warrior saluted in the Newmarket, there was a smattering of $9 available into $7.50, and Admiral Jello should have won the Canberra Cup ($10 – $6) only for being hung up until well into the straight and he surged late to just miss isn’t racing wonderful. We have been having a great run of late with Lofty’s Menu ($8.50), My Little Flicka($26 – $7) and Dixie Blossoms ($3.70 – $2.70) ,we have always been ultra consistent in this area and our results speak for themselves. Value is the key ingredient for us, we could select short priced commodities each week such as Redzel ($1.50) or even Kementari ($2.40) but we choose to put our knowledge on the line and more often than not succeed. Remember to be successful with these selections you need “Discipline and Strategy”. Just a couple of gallopers to keep in mind Firstly; Outback Barbie forget she ever went around on Saturday wide the entire trip, she will make amends. Secondly; Siege Of Quebec we are not giving up on this galloper he is better than a lot think, a good run on Saturday, he will win a very good race soon if he can get to the front and dictate, he will be at very good odds. Always be mindful of track lanes, on Saturday Flemington was certainly “off ” out wide in the straight, horses just weren’t making leeway so we can be forgiving of Nasaayim and Shillelagh, not excuses just facts and that is racing. Hartnell was in the same boat but did get a squeeze as he was attempting to move forward (was never going to win though) but gee there were a lot of negatives about this horse pre race. Doomben Track Soft; Randwick Track Good; Flemington Track Good; Our Best; Flemington race 4 Nasaayin($5) this is a step up for this filly but we think she will handle it, beautifully bred by Redoubt’s Choice so the 1400m should suit perfectly. She is drawn to get the perfect run(2) a typical Hayes two year old she will pounce at the distance. Flemington race 6 Redkirk Warrior($6.50) this horse is a top notch sprinter especially down the straight. The trick with this horse though is to catch him first or second up, he can reel off some insane last 600m, he has an explosve sprint and if Lord Of The Sky goes crazy up front this bloke will give them wind burn at the 100m, it is a handicap granted but remember he still has a kilo under the scale he will be there when the whips are cracking. Flemington race 7 Shillelagh($4) a bit of an enigma this mare but on her day she can blow them away, she has been well served for this racing out of her depth in G1 W.F.A. races and then straight back into mares grade she will get back but will be steaming home over the top of them to arrive in time. Randwick race1 Oklahoma Girl($8) this mare is a pistol third up she has genuine group form on her resume, given the right run by Bowman she will blouse them. Flemington race8 Hartnell($9.50) the question here is WHAT THE? this horse has not been mentioned anywhere as a remote possibility to win this race. His price reflects this, but unless he is carrying an injury he has to be a serious chance of beating Gailo Chop. When that horse beat him at Caulfield the track was deadset on pace bias, he has a phenomenal record third up and his W.F.A. record speaks for itself, his big baldy face might just snatch victory. Longshot Doomben race 6 Call The Captain($35) he has drawn to get the run of the race or better still take up, he has a good weight after the claim and won easily at Ballina and that was on a good track he is better when the track is soft, we are expecting a massive run here. We have gone for the juggler today with OUR BEST but we really do like our chances, we think Redkirk Warrior will stamp his authority today. Admiral Jello was our longshot originally today but was scratched HE IS IN THE CANBERRA CUP TOMORROW($10)SO WE WILL BE ON HIM THERE.
