BUFFALO; Written By 2yold having 1st start and missed the kick at Newcastle 16/11/24 then held up for a long way in the straight. Dashed home when clear to finish 3rd. STARTS:
JEWELLERY: ran okay Rosehill 30/11/24 with not a lot of luck in the straight. That was 1st up and he did get a mile back and finished off okay. Fitter next time but might be better 3rd up. STARTS: good 3rd Randwick 14/12/24 $2.40 place, enjoyed a nice run just off the pace and fought on. Second Randwick 28/12/24 $1.40 place beaten a lip. Drove into it at the distance in front everywhere but the finishing line.
CONTEMPORARY: ran Rosehill 30/11/24 got back and ran on, fitness run? Good horse with a good record will atone. STARTS: ran a decent 6th Randwick 14/12/24 when wide back in field. Seemed to be struggling topping the rise and then knuckled down late to be beaten 1.54L. Very fit next time. Ran 6th Eagle Farm 28/12/24. Brutal run in transit 3 & 4 wide beaten 4.5L in a quality race. Got the wobblies big time in the betting ??? One more at a price.
PRINCE ERIC: probably should have won at Ballarat 7/12/24 when a great 3rd after having no luck whatsoever until inside the 100m. Third up next time will see him primed. STARTS: Ran 3rd/$1.50 place at Moonee Valley 28/12/24 thought the ride was poor he was wide at back then forward around the field and sat wider. Great run on reflection.
WOLFLANDS: ran 6th on the Caulfield Heath 14/12/24 betaen 3.6L, in the past this horse did his best racing on the speed. Has been ridden back his last 4 starts and first up last Saturday he was back last on the corner scouted wide in the straight and ran on pretty well. It could be 3rd up for him! STARTS: ran second($4.50 place) Cranbourne 11/1/25 beaten 0.5L, got a mile back and finished off strongly.
IVAN’S HERO: a nice blowout 4th first up at the Sunnie Coast on Boxing Day , he certainly can be right in the finish next start 2nd up. STARTS: ran last beaten 6.9L Eagle Farm 18/1/25. Ridden forward this time and capitulated. Comfort zone maybe! he will be very fit next time.
SPRING LEE: ran Rosehill 18/1/25 he was ridden a mile out of his ground 1st up. Decent record and will atone. STARTS:
KINGSTON HERE: ran Sunshine Coast 25/1/25 for a quality 5th only beaten just under a length. That was 1st up and probably on wrong part of track(inside) very consistent when in form. STARTS:
