GC R6 H7 PRINCE OF BOOM($8.50); loves this course and wet conditions are a bonus. Drawn a little tricky but with the heavy track should be able to get on the speed. He is a good horse that ticks a lot of boxes here. We expect him to be in front with 50m to go and will be in for the fight.

GC R10 H2 CIFRADO($6); this time in he is in super consistent form. His pattern is to get back but at this venue has the ability to be on the speed from gate 4. He relishes the distance and the wet won’t deter him. Serious chance.

M R5 H1 BOONIE($5); has been in good form and is very fit. He will most likely lead again and his last run here over this course was a tough effort. Likes the straight and we expect him to be powering at the distance and be too good.
BOONIE($6); 3rd/$1.60 place beaten 1.6L, travelled up in front kicked at the distance just not good enough on the day.
M R10 H9 REDOUTE’S NIGHT($6); third run in here after 2 great runs so he will be even further advanced now. He drifts a fairway back but the key with him is he relishes this course. So expect him to be on the boil at the distance.
REDOUTE’S NIGHT($5); 8th beaten 3.4L, did nothing really poor.
SUMMARY: Happy New Year to all our members with lots of good health happiness and prosperity for 2025. We start the year off with massive fields and congested markets which is the norm these days. These markets can lead to some excellent value though for Horsebuck$ members. Gold Coast is heavy with more showers likely and is an extremely tough programme to kick off our year. The 2 year old Millions is a very tough affair but we have opted for Memo($5.50) her 3 runs to date have been good, especially her last when caught wide. Has the 1 gate here so she should get a good run just behind the speed. Tough to beat. Cool Archie($34) very good run last start for 2nd behind Icarian Dream after being wide. Settle midfield and will run on. The Playwright($19) this filly will probably lead and her last start3rd was a nice clean up. Beautifully bred Written By filly if she gets a mini break on them at 200m super hard to run down. La Bella Boom($7) can’t do anymore than win. Bolted in last start after being just behind the speed. Icarian Dream($7) rounds out our top5. But it is a very deep race especially with the heavy surface. We had another pretty good year in 2024 so hopefully more of the same in 2025.
