MR4 H1 EXTREME VIRTUE($5): this mare does have an excellent record and ticks a few boxes here. Certainly seems to relish racing 2nd up with 2 from 2 and the track and distance are ideal. She tends to race just off the speed but not to far away and handles all conditions. We expect her to be chiming in big time at the distance.

ETREME VIRTUE($4.60); 2nd/$2 place beaten 0.1L, this horse was ridden a treat with 60 kegs. Kicked away at the distance only to be bloused late.

BR8 H3 STATUARIO($6): great run in the South Australian Derby and he is a winner over this distance. He tends to race midfield and run on strongly. He is certainly bred to handle wet conditions and the big straight will suit. Right hoop on in Allen. He will be there when the whips are cracking or might just blow them away.

MR9 H5 PRANCING SPIRIT($5.50): this horse just might string a couple together after winning last start, We think he is in pretty well here with 55.5kgs after the claim as he won in this class last start. He also likes to race just off the pace and the distance is perfect along with a liking for this course. Dry only for him so all points to another success.

PRANCING SPIRIT($4.80); 8th beaten 2.77L, just plugged to the line.

SUMMARY: rainy day in Brisbane so we will have to keep an eye on conditions as we have gone with soft.  Three Group 1’s there today and we have gone with the Kingsford Smith over 1300M. Giga Kick($5.50) top class and is gradually getting back to his best. He will get back and be steaming home in the slush. Rise At Dawn($18) his run in the Doncaster was a cracker when leading. If he adopts the same tactics here in the wet he will be super hard to run down. Joliestar($3.20) this mare is a serious Group horse. She is very fit, she likes to settle around mid field and get home late. Always a chance. Private Eye($9.50) how good is this old boy and he is a swimmer. Fresh is usually a plus for him and he can settle right up on the speed. Benedetta($7) we think her race is the Straddie but can certainly figure here. Giga Kick for us to run down Rise At Dawn, nice quinella?  Randwick last week in our humble opinion was a shocker and a lot of the form out of the meeting should be ignored. Just be mindful of some of the track ratings on sites as they are not always updated… just saying.
