MR5 H1 ACROMANTULA ($4.60); this galloper ticks a lot of boxes fresh. Track and distance handles all conditions. He is drawn perfectly because he likes lead. If he does it could be game set and match.
ACROMANTULA($7.50); last beaten 9.2L, MISSED START SLIGHTLY PUSHED THROUGH TO BE CO LEADER BURNT OUT BEFORE THE CORNER. Poor run.
SR7 H1 SPACE AGE ($4); in super form this prep and should possie up again from a decent draw. He likes the track and distance and certainly handles the conditions. 59kgs won.t be an issue huge chance again.
SPACE AGE($); 10th beaten 5.7L, also led hit the wall at the distance seriously disappointing.
MR7 H2 SMOKIN’ ROMANS ($5); we expect this horse to perform big time today if not it could be game over for him. He will roll up on the speed and he is no slouch around this course. Jaylah Kennedy is in good form and track conditions no issue.
SMOKIN’ ROMANS($); last beaten 13.5L, led gone before the coener. As we said in the pre race summary game over.
SUMMARY: not a lot of Group action today with The Group2 Missile at Randwick the main event. Loch Eagle ($21) could win this first up. He is in okay here with 57.5kgs and although his racing pattern of late has been get back run home he has the ability to race on the speed. Big run in the G1 Doncaster before a spell and the G1 Ryder before that and has won in G2 class. Likes the track and distance and handles all conditions. Semillion($4) the big thing in his favour is the wet track and he likes to sit right on the speed. He is very fit. Schwarz($2.25) we would expect this horse to either lead or at least be with Much Much Better($15) into the stretch. He races well fresh probably prefers dry though. Shezanalister($5) racing well above her class but she is fit and loves wet conditions. On speed as well, This race could suit Loch Eagle big time if they decide to ride him back a fraction. The usual scenario today with huge fields a thousand dual acceptors and a maiden at the Sunshine Coast just to add to the benchmarks. We have decided not to have a selection in the maiden for obvious reasons. The Spring racing will rev up in about 2 weeks time meanwhile the fitter horses might cause a few upsets in the earlier lesser Group races.
