SR5 H2 SHADOWS OF LOVE($3) Been in terrific form this prep and bolted in last start on a heavy surface. Gets conditions to suit once again and the step out to the 1400m is ideal!
SHADOWS OF LOVE($3.10); 2nd/$1.40 place beaten 0.9L, beaut run every concievable chance.
MR6 H3 KING MAGNUS($6) Cracking run first up when wide without cover only beaten 1.8L. Is great second up and track and distance suits. Is adept in all conditions and will be parked behind the speed from the good draw and be hard to beat here.
KING MAGNUS($6.30); FIRST GIDDYUP!!! right on the leader’s hammer got to the front in the straight fought on a little too strong. GIDDYUP!!!
MR10 H2 JIGSAW($5) Not up to Group 1 company at all, and didn’t handle the straight first up at all. So back to Caulfield and dropping back to listed level are huge advantages here. From the good draw will be right on speed if not leading here and should be able to kick clear at the top of the straight and be hard to run down!
JIGSAW($7); 9th beaten 3.4L, drove through along the fence to be equal leader. A fleeting chance in the straight weakened.
SUMMARY: Another tough of racing today in all three states with the wet tracks making it very interesting indeed. Lets dive straight into the Sandown Guineas and we think Arkensaw Kid($2.40) can get the win here. Has been crying out for the 1600m this prep, got too far back last start and ran home fantastic. From barrier 6 should be able to park closer here and be right on them at the distance, adept in all conditions. Power Of The Brave($6.50) has been racing in great form this prep and this looks like a target race stepping out to the 1600m. Will sit midfield from barrier 10 and be steaming home! Modown($4.40)was slow away last start and rattled home nicely in the Listed Springtime Stakes the step up in grade was a good run. The 1600m will suit and if he can start better will be in it for a long way. Vivy Air($6.50) got way too far back in the Group 1 Guineas last start and ran on well. Drop in grade and if he can sit closer should be able to race better over the 1600m. Loves wet tracks so that suits as well. Good chance. Off to Brisbane for the Goerge Moore Stakes and Rothfire($3.40) will have them all off the bit coming around the turn. Had a trial win after a 2months off the seen after racing in Group 1 races in Melbourne. Track and distance suits and barrier 1 is ideal. Is adept in all conditions. Nettuno($3.40) drops 4.5kgs leading into this off his first up win. Will sit midfield here the track and distance suits and is an absolute swimmer, will be running home hard! The Big Goodbye($7) should have finished closer first up when held up and couldn’t get out at vital stages. Loves the track and distance and is good second up. A lot of horses are getting weight relief here which will suit. is adept in all conditions and will be parked behind the speed here. Deepour($9) was wide throughout first up and in traffic as well. The step out to the 1200m and second up is perfect. Will be steaming home with luck in running. Like I said earlier tough day of racing in all three states but we will muscle up here at Horsebuck$ and hopefully come up with the goods. Just a quick note to MEMBERS(date mistake) the dates we will be having our annual break will be on the 30th of December and the 6th of January so there will be selections available on the 23rd of December.
