BR9 H1 GO WANDJI($4.60) Was in terrific form last prep and placed in stakes company at the end. Track and distance suits, unbeaten fresh and with the claim only carriers 56.5kgs. Is adept in all conditions and from barrier 4 will park right behind the leaders here and be charging late. Good horse.
GO WANDJI($4.80); 2nd/$2.10 place beaten 0.15L, got further back than anticipated and then held up in the straight. Back to the inside got home strongly to just miss.
SUMMARY: Cracking day on the site to say the least last week with a huge amount of winners and exotics to go along with it. Lets dive straight into the action with the G1 Coolmoore and we think Veight($15) dropping back in distance can get the win here. A top galloper who was a little unlucky in the Gunieas last start. Protest was dismissed as well. Loves the track and will go forward and might be able to slot in behind the leaders here with a bit of luck will run a huge race. I am Unstoppable($9.50) has been racing extremely well last three. All runs have been over the 1100m and is stepping out to the 1200m 4th up today. Will settle back in the run but will be steaming home and the form lines around him are great with multiple next start winners. Fit and ready to go for a grandfinal. Cylinder($3.90) has been racing well and wasn’t disgraced in the Everest only beaten 1.2lengths against the best sprinters. Will be just behind the pace here and will be getting home hard at the distance! Shinzo($4.40) has been a tad unlucky last couple of starts and wasn’t that far away in the Everest. Will sit closer from here and J Mac aboard is a bonus. A cracking race. Off to the G1 Victoria Derby and we think Sunsets($13) can continue on his winning way here. We reckon he outstayed the fav last start and the extra 500m will suit. Gold Bullion($23) run last start wasn’t as bad as it seems on paper. Slow tempo and a month off were not in his favour. Step out to the 2500m suits and will go forward from the gate 13 and be hard to run down. Riff Rocket($2.20) has been in terrific form this prep. Will go forward from barrier 5 just behind the speed here. Air Assault($17) ran super last start at the Valley when caught wide and still battled on for third. With a better run in transit and the step out to the 2500m we can see him running a huge race here. Will be in the finish. Kosgei’s($34) last two runs have been pretty good considering. Was on a soft surface at Flemington and well back. Then at Geelong was well back, wide through out and still ran on for third. The step out in distance suits and is very well bred. Breeding is key here looks to be a cracking race. We will have our top 4 for Melbourne Cup day at Flemington on Tuesday on the site about 9am for the races to start at 9:45am. Great days racing today and only a few days away from the Melbounre Cup.
