OUR BEST;

RED CHASE($7); very good win last start over Ballistic Boy, he will sit up behind the speed here from the good draw and is a consistent galloper when he strikes his best form. He will be ready to zip past The Harrovian at the distance.

RED CHASE($8); 2nd/$2.90 place beaten 1.4L,  great run just off the pace moved to the lead strongly at the distance but The Harronian ran on by and won well. We were hoping it would have been the other way but that’s racing. Great ride every chance.  

HANG MAN($6.50); okay he hasn’t won for a while but that seems to be the norm at the minute. This is not a strong field and he zipped back into form last start coming home strongly for second. He will possie up mid field and be rolling into it big time as they start to swing.

HANG MAN($8.50); 3rd/$2.90 place beaten 1.2L, everything was going to plan as they swung and he had a full head of steam hit the front but was run over half way down the running. Another great ride just not good enough on the day.

JADENTOM($4.20); what a good mare she is, straight back into top form after a spell and relegating Red Chase into the minors both times. She relishes the track and distance and fires big time 3rd up, has had a 7 week break though but that can only help her cause. There is enough pace here to allow her to strut her stuff at the distance. 

JADENTOM($2.90); 3rd/$1.70 place beaten 1.75L, mid field until they entered the straight pushed out and ran home strongly late. Race was leader controlled so the run was good, we will be following her up next gallop. 

SUMMARY: Ligulate($15) just missed for us in Our Best bets last Saturday at the Sunny Coast but still paid $4.60 the place. It was an average day at that venue  along with Sydney but surprisingly Ballarat turned up some fantastic results for our multi runner players with some huge odds namely Tradewind($31), Irish Flame ($20) to name a couple so to see all our results go to our web site www.horsebucks.com.au and check them out. We wrote on our site about 18 months ago about horses that win after a long time out of the winners list and how they return to their old habits at their very next start “NOTHING HAS CHANGED” there has been a spate of them lately so be wary. Spruik horse are a NO GO also. Winterbottom stakes day at Ascot and Trekking is the key here a genuine GROUP 1 horse Valour Road could be the hardest to beat he has always raced in top company and Indian Pacific and Celebrity Queen next best. Race 10 at Ascot sees W. Pike back aboard Mystery Miss and back on a firmer surface will be hard to beat and Tollman next best. Rcae 7 at Doomben is a decent class 6 and Catesby($9) is a great chance here dropping in class and still weighted okay for this level will be forward and has J.Byrne on Phantom Falcon is a consistent galloper and the consistent mare Boomtown Lass is a definite place chance second up loves to be right on the speed. Lets hope we can go a centimeter better in Our Best this week (after Ligulate got beaten by the proverbial last week)  so GOOD LUCK to all those having a punt and “ALWAYS ENJOY YOUR RACING” Kerry & Dan horsebuck$
