OUR BEST: 

SR1 OPACITY($3.40); this horse has a very tidy record and last start got home nicely behind Discharged. Meets that galloper 3kegs better here, will settle back but will be steaming home over the top. 

OPACITY($6); 6th beaten 2,4L, he was afforded no chance really, after jumping well was allowed to drift back a long way from the leader. The game was up for him before the corner through no fault of the horse.

MR8 PRETTY BRAZEN($6); in terrific form with a great 3rd last start in an open G1. Back to mares G2 tomorrow and 4th run in will be super fit and likes to sit M/F she will be rattling home over the top of them at the distance.

PRETTY BRAZEN($7.50); 7th beaten 2.8L, certainly no luck in the straight did well to finish to finish where she did. One more follow up run for her.

BR7 STARVIRGO($7.50); great draw here to be up behind the speed. The drier the better for this horse and his trainer Robbie Heathcote is on fire. Super chance.

STARVIRGO($3.20); 4th beaten 2.5L, good run in transit every chance.

MR6 SHARED AMBITION($4.80); loved his run last start and his master trainer will have him cherry ripe for this. Williams will have him winding up big time as they corner. Good horse great chance.

SHARED AMBITION($5); 5th beaten 1.9L; very good run considering he was 3rd last early took off about 1250m from home then travelled 4 deep. Finished off very strongly the last 50m. Big follow up for this guy.

BEST EACHWAY:

MR7 DJANGO FREEMAN($19); like this horse and he will be on the speed here, he does have a touch of class and although this is a Group1 and a step up for him, we expect him to be up to the challenge.

DJANGO FREEMAN($26); 11th beaten 2.7L; strange race this one slow then fast home. He was back near last on the corner and ran home okay in a bunched finish. Never looked likely though and we will give him another go in a truly run race.

SUMMARY; close but no joy last week in Our Best when Free Fly Too was nabbed right on the post for a great second (we did get the First4 in this race paying a handsome $3,847 bucks) and Forbidden Love ran well again for a nice 3rd. We also liked Mr. Marbellouz and Odeon both had every chance and were very disappointing. Group1 racing in Sydney with the Epsom over the Randwick, mile we think the mares will fight it out with Collette($17) prevailing, it will be her 3rd run in and she relishes Randwick. Probabeel and Funstar will be super hard to beat even from their wide gates. The Metrop. probably looks like Mugatoo will win here with Brimham Rocks and Zerbrowski hardest to beat. We really feel a lot of horses hard up in the market will salute today with the cream rising to the top. Another cracking day here in paradise so lets get the Spring Carnival rolling with a couple of nice winners in Our Best.
