SR4 H7 CALIFORNIA ZIMBOL($4.40); this filly has a ton of class and is a pistol first up, she will be right on the leaders hammer here most likely Yao Dash. The value might not be here now after a couple of significant scratchings but she will be super tough to beat.
CALIFORNIA ZIMBOL($4.40); 3rd $2.15 place beaten 4.1L, was slightly disappointing.
MR4 H1 SPANISH REEF($4.80); nice mare with a good record and this level Group3 is her optimum. She certainly relishes 3rd up and the track and distance are perfect for her and is very comfortable in the soft conditions.Her 3rd last start was good considering the race was handed to the leader on a platter we expect her to be pumping up behind the leader here and be too strong at the distance.
SPANISH REEF($3.90); 6th beaten 1.3L, she ran well not good enough on the day.
SR8 H2 THE CHOSEN ONE($5); this race is also knocked around a bit by scratchings, we think this bloke is a genuine Group3, Listed horse. Great run first up in a NZ Group1 where he sat up closer than is his norm and he will settle back off them here. He is adept in all conditions and certainly ticks a lot of boxes here. Hoping Nash pulls out one of his gems. Our Best.
THE CHOSEN ONE($6); 8th beaten 6L, up behind the speed and never really settled he is much better suited ridden further back, only his second run back.
SR7 H10 PANCHO($12); really like this horse, his first up run was a beauty where he settled up closer than usual being first up. Second up he really fires up and will probably settle further back here as is his normal pattern, no concerns about the soft conditions. This could very well be his grand final this Autumn. We think he is great value.
Pancho($12); 11th beaten 5.9L, not sure what to make of that run he was checked a couple of times in the running but really didn’t finish off.
BR7 H6 ADORADANCER($7); it’s Groundhog Day no you aren’t seeing things we had this horse as a best bet last week also and she ran very well for us. The quick back up here suggests she is firing on all four and we would assume that she will race closer to the lead here from the good draw. Super chance.
ADORADANCER($7); 10th beaten 10.2L, really thought they would lead with her this time but she never settled in the run back in 4th place and she was eased out of it in the straight.
Another cracking day’s racing with some of our top sprinters stepping out in both Melbourne and Sydney in soft conditions. The Newmarket handicap G 1 and Gytrash($7.50) is a super chance here to pull off the Flemington Group 1 sprint double he beat a slightly better field last time and grows flippers when there is soft ground, hardest to beat here might be Bivouac who excels in moist conditions. Group 1 Australian Cup and Avilius ($3.80) is a big chance here we had him as a best bet last Saturday and he ran well can’t help but think that was a nice run for him for this. Adept in all conditions and is a multiple Group 1 winner, Mirage Dancer and Fifty Stars hard to beat. Some great sprinters going around in Sydney also and I think Alizee($4.20) can add to her impressive tally but my partner thinks The Bostonian($14) can get it done in the soft conditions. The old boy Redzel ($5) just might do over Nature Strip ($2.15) in a good race. We had 19 winners in our top four selections with some nice results but not a lot of value available with 5 Trifectas, 9 Quinellas and 2 Main Quaddies so jump on our web site www.horsebucks.com.au and check out all of our results for yourself.
