BR5 H1 CRUZE($4.60); Raced well out of his class 3 runs back. Then he was out to the 1600 m then back to the 1200m. Today he is back to his pet distance of 1400m. From barrier 2 Thorton can let the pace go around and get a nice sit in behind the pace. Claim drops him to 56.5 kg. Likes the track and distance. A huge chance to return to the winners stall. He is Our Best.
CRUZE($5.50); 7th beaten 5.3L, two words “did nothing!!”
SR10 H5 ROHERYN($5);Great win last start when caught wide and still had the guts to get the bob in on the line to score. Second up today and stepping out to the 1300m is ideal. Likes soft tracks. Likes the track. He will get back from gate 12 but he will be steaming home with the pace up front set to be at a fast tempo which will suit. A huge chance.
ROHERYN($5.50); 2nd/$2.30 place beaten 0.8L, got a long way back ran home strongly without ever looking like winning.
MR9 H2 ADMIRAL’S JOKER($5.50); Ran well first up in group 2 company. Sat well back and steamed home only beaten 2.25 lengths. Dropping back in grade. Likes second up and is suited stepping out to the 1400m. Likes the track and from barrier 7 can get a nice sit in behind the leading bunch. The whips will be cracking at the 100m. Great chance.
ADMIRAL’S JOKER($6.50); 5th beaten 1.6L, got a long way back no luck getting out in the straight ran on strongly when clear. We will wait for Craig Williams to get back on.
MR H6 OCEAN’S FOURTEEN($12); raced out of his class last start in Listed grade definitely better suited in this grade. Didn’t have much luck last start when caught wide without cover. From barrier 3 can sit just in behind the leading bunch. Likes the distance and has run well at the track and with Dunn aboard is a bonus. He will be charging at the distance. Huge chance.
OCEAN’S FORTUNE($9); 6th beaten 5L, great run in transit had nothing to offer in the straight, end of prep maybe.
The racing is heating up with some fantastic races all round. The group 3 Hayes stakes and we think Alligator Blood will win. Catalyst is a good horse but would have to produce an outstanding run to beat this galloper. We are thinking Redzel can turn the tide in the Lightning. But if trail form is any thing to go by Nature strips trial was outstanding. We think Verry Elleegant can run a huge race in the Apollo stakes. The old boy Happy clapper might just lead them and win. At Randwick we think Ticket to Ride($9.50) can run a huge race in the Lonhro Plate. The form lines tie in with Henseatic and horses are winning everywhere with that form line. Just one more race and Enterprise Grand($41) in Brisbane race 8 can run a nice race at big odds. He likes the distance and Eagle farm will suit him. He has raced in this grade once before and was very unlucky. We will be all doing the crocodile rock today so bring it on. On that exciting note good luck on the punt and enjoy your racing.
