S4 H1 SPIRITUAL PURSUIT($7); Ran well last start when caught wide and held up at the vital stage only beaten 2.5lengths. Second up 2 wins and place from 3 starts. Drops 1 kg from last start to 56.5kg. Likes the distance. From barrier 7 can sit in behind the pace which is not lacking abundance in this race. Can definately return to the winners stall. Huge chance !
SPIRITUAL PURSUIT($5.50); 4th beaten 3.2L, saddled slipped back at the start(stewards report) game over.
SR8 H4 CINQUEDEA($5); Absolutely no luck last start he was 3 wide no cover hampered at 1000m and battled on really well only beaten 2.8lengths. He is third up today 2 from 2. He drops 2 kgs from last start. Carries 57kgs and with McEvoy aboard is a huge bonus. Loves the distance. From barrier 2 can get a nice sit in behind the leading group and peel out and hit the front with 100m to go. Huge chance and He is Our Best !!
CINQUEDEA($4.800; 4th beaten 2.1L, very unlucky, never clear in the straight after being kept in a pocket by Rawiller on Word For Word for the majority.
SR 7 H4 NEW UNIVERSE($5); No luck start when caught wide and was still running home off a tough run. He preforms well second up with 2 wins from starts. goes up half a kilo. Likes the track and stepping up to the 1550m is ideal. Nash back aboard and with alot of speed in this race he can get a good sit behind the pace hopefully 1 out 1 back and be steaming home. The whips will be cracking. His chance to retrun to the winners stall.
NEW UNIVERSE($5); 5th beaten 6.1L, dragged backed to last and over raced, not pushed out to the line. Seriously on pace related and nothing from the back half were ever a possibility.
MR7 H5 CALL IT DAY ($26); Ran well last start to just miss over the 1400m. He drops 3kgs from last start down to 55.5kgs. Has won in this class before. Loves the track and distance. From barrier 5 can get a sit in behind the leading bunch and loves good tracks. A huge chance at massive odds.
CALL IT A DAY($16); 6th beaten 2.1L, led from the get go and still in control on the corner but never really looked he was going to go on with it.
BR8 H9 SCOUT($21); Raced out of his class last start in the Vo Rogue Plate(Group3) against Alligator Blood. Drops back to a class 4 plate dropping a kilo from last start from 57kg to 56kg. From barrier 9 can jump with them and get spot just in behind the leading group. Loves the track and distance. He will be right in the mix and very hard to beat.
SCOUT($13); 2ND/$4.20 place beaten 0.5L, led early restrained to take a sit finished off strongly.
Another cracking day for Our Best followers last week when 2 successful and a place getter. We hoping to keep it going this week and we think we have found a few for our subscribers. We will talk about a couple of the main races at the Gold Coast today. The first race is the MM Country Cup and we think Elixer from barrier 2 can get the job done here. Loves the track and distance. Can either lead or get a sit in behind the leaders. Theres another horse in the race called Secret Spirit David Vandyke trained horse from barrier 3 can also run well here. The Pines is the favourite but if gets caught wide from barrier 11 could tell the tale for the favourite. The next race I want to talk about is the Open 900m race . We think Tycoon Ace has a huge chance in this race. Spurcraft beat Tycoon Ace when they last met in the Bribie handicap listed race. Tycoon Ace carried 2 kgs more than Spurcraft and Tycoon Ace was second up which is not his best run in his prep Only 9 goes for 1 win. But They meet again here and Tycoon Ace absolutely loves third up(6 goes 4 wins). But the big thing here is that they meet at the same weight here. So Spurcraft doesnt have a 2kg advantage on Tycoon Ace this time. He can go foward or sit behind if the pace is hot. A huge chance eachway at 13 bucks. Just a quick mention of the last race at the Gold Coast. We think Amorita is way over the odds in this race. Loves the track and distance. He has had a 38 day break and trial leading to this race. He has had one run 3rd up and was only beaten 1 length, he was caught wide and the rider on the day was a Kilo over and he had cuts to his hind legs so genuine excuses there. He has good form lines. From barrier 2 and D Lane they can let the pace go and get a good sit in behind the leaders. Huge chance. The Goldy is just getting warmed up today for the Big meeting next week Magic Millions It should be a Cracking days racing with some pretty good horse going around. On that exciting note have a great day and good luck on the punt. Enjoy Your Racing!. Horsebuck$
POST RACE SUMMARY; In our 3 plus years of operation there has been 2 or 3 meetings(per year) where some crazy results occur and finding winners is like tryin to buy a vowel in the old T.V. game show Wheel Of Fortune. No sugar coating we were disappointed in OUR BEST on Saturday with 2 unlucky (both 4th), 2 not good enough on the day and SCOUT (GCR8) nearly doing the right thing for us at juicy odds sitting second on the turn and rallied late for a half length second at $4.20 a place. Only 9 winners in our top 4 selections best being Ice Frost $10.10, Queen Kay $10 and Clockwise at $11 so at least some value for multi runner players. Also along with 15 seconds in the other races 11 of those beaten 0.8L or less with Twirling Moss going down in the last at Kensington by a pixel paying $5.50 a place. Exotic players had some joy as well with a nice FIRST4 in MR2 $2,550.00, 4 TRIFECTAS best being MR2 $360, BR3 $203 and MR5 $126 and 7 Quinella/Exactas. It will be all guns blazing this week and no form line will be left un turned in the search for results, which you can check out on our web site www.horsebucks.com.au past and recent and also check out our summaries as we summarise Our Best bets as well post race, you can subscribe or just simply follow us on Facebook. Always “ENJOY YOUR RACING” and have a great week as we spare a thought for all those that are doing it tough through the bushfire crisis Kerry and Daniel HORSEBUCK$
