MR10 H5 AMANGIRI($3.60); Great run second up when just peaking on her run last 100m due to fitness. 3rd up today (1from 1) The distance suits. Hoping she can lead this field and if she handles Moonee Valley she wil be hard to run down !.
AMANGIRI($2.50); FIRST , run her down they didn’t, saddle slipped at the start and looked a little vulnerable on the corner but she fought them off. GOUGUDTHING!!!!
SR5 H4 MULTAJA($5.50); Good Run last start when caught 4 wide no cover only beaten 3 lengths. From barrier 8 hopefully she can get a sit midfield or just behind the leading pair. Loves the track and distance. Drops 2kgs from first up run and is a group 3 winner. Huge Chance.
MULTAJA($9); 8th beaten 2.7L, blew like a Sou’wester in the betting says it all, got too far back never figured.
SR3 H1 DIAMOND THUNDER($5.00); This horse had a great last prep winning the Oxlade stakes in Brisbane.He beat Californa Zimbol who came out and won a group 3 by 4 lengths beating Loving Gaby who won the Manikato Stakes last night. Form lines strong. Had two trials leading up to this first up run. Likes the distance, good first up and from barrier 1 he should be up on speed or even lead this field. He is Our Best!
DIAMOND THUNDER($3.20); FIRST, sat behind the leader challenged in the straight flattened out and fought hard to the line, very good win. HE CERTAINLY WAS OUR BEST.
SR8 H2 JUST THINKIN'($4.00); This horse will run a cracking race, just weakened on his run over the 2000m last start in the group 1 Spring Champion, back to 1600m, back in grade and he should lead he will be very hard to run down, it might be lights out if he kicks 2 in front coming round the bend.
JUST THINKIN'($3.70); 5th beaten 3.8L, disappointed he never led but probably at the end of his prep.
BR6 H2 SMOKEY DIAMOND($15.00); We think this horse is a bit of over’s here. He is great first up likes the distance. We think Eagle Fram track will suit especailly if he can lead from barrier 1 and ping on the croner and get a couple lengths in front he will be hard to run down. Gets 3 kg claim to 56kgs. He won first up last prep in same class and distance. Would be a surprise if he is not in the finish. Great each way chance!
SMOKEY DIAMOND($41); 8th beaten 9.5L, certainly expected better here but the race was on pace dominated. The massive drift in the market was certainly a pointer to his chances.
Great racing last night at The Valley with Loving Gaby taking out the Group 1 Manikato but Bivouac was unlucky the entire straight. The COX PLATE is an oustanding race this year and a good betting race which hasn’t happened for about 4 years due to the champion mare Winx being in the race. Castelvecchio, this horse is racing really well. His run last start was huge, he sat last was widest turning and his run just peaked a little on a leader biased track, it was hard to make ground that day. He’s got 49.5kgs on his back barrier 4 and the 2000m will suit. My colleague likes Avilius it was a massive run last start in the Caulfield Stakes when steaming home only beaten 1.5 lengths. Would like to see him a little closer in running especailly on the Moonee Valley Track. Verry elleegant is another horse racing well, she might struggle to win being a good track and her being a wet tracker. Still a top 4 chance. I wouldn’t be surprsied if Mystic journey swamped them all . Has been racing really well was unlucky last start and has drawn a good gate. The Japanese Horse the favourite is vulnerable first up over this distance. $3.60 is a bit of unders in our opinion. Race 7 in Sydney we think Just Thinkn’ will run a cracking race, just weakened on his run over the 2000m last start in the group 1 Spring Champion, back to 16oom, back in grade and he should lead he will be very hard to run down, it might be lights out if he kicks 2 in front coming round the bend.
