MR7 H7 Sir John Lavery($6); import that ran well only start here when he ran out of room at a vital stage. Probably sit up behind Siege of Quebec here and challenging on the corner. Likes distance and second up and this is not a strong W.F.A. race.
Sir John Lavery($7.50); 7th beaten 3.6L ,rider said needs jar out of track maybe so but we tend to think sitting 3 wide outside the leaders the entire trip certainly didn’t help the horses chance. Having said that we think it could be a poor form race as far as follow up is concerned.
SR9 H12 Kawaikini($6.50); This is a horse with a fair bit of ability and a pistol first up. Will settle back and smaller field will suit. She will be steaming home at the business end of proceedings.
Kawaikini($8); 6th beaten 9.2L moved into the race at the distance but wilted found to be lame after race.
SR7 H9 Mercurial Lad($31); this horse is over the odds here, he definitely runs better after a few runs into a prep. Drawn to lead or at least get a good sit behind the speed if he puts a margin on them at the distance doubt if they will run him down with 55kgs. GIDDYUP!!!
Mercurial Lad($17); 3rd beaten 0.4L $4.20 a place, steadied at the 350m when Gitan was forced out in front of him, once balanced up again finished strongly,a good run.

Randwick Track Soft( upgrade likely); Moonee Valley Track Good; Make no mistake this is a super tough day. The Moonee Valley Cup is a race we are interested in, Red Cardinal($12) is just starting to gain momentum with a solid 3rd last start on the heavy at Randwick back to a good surface today he might just get a touch closer in the run. He is another import with a good record and he is an out and out stayer, he is entered for the CUP and we think he will be extremely hard to beat here. We pinpointed ACE HIGH for the Caulfield Cup over the weeks but stated the track had to stay good so when the rains came his chances went from 10 to zero, Best Solution which we highlighted in our pre race summary as definitely the one to beat duly saluted at $12 again it shows the importance of reading all of our post/pre race summaries. Also highlighted was Thinkin’Big who gave them a galloping lesson at Caulfield and is on target for the Derby. OUR BEST and BEST EACHWAY continued on its winning way last week when RESIN($7-$4.40) bolted in and TUCANO($14) ran a game 3rd($3.80/place) and another MAIN QUADDIE Caulfield $1,080.00 and 18winners in our top 4 selections for multi runner punters. We are always super consistent but we are on a golden run of late and we are like a good VINTAGE RED WE JUST GET BETTER WITH AGE. Racing is a fun day out for most racegoers and should be treated as such so take our tips along an make it an even more enjoyable experience. For the more serious punter that likes to have only 3 or 4 plays OUR BEST BETS is the way to go but always use “DISCIPLINE and STRATEGY” as your benchmark.
