BR 9 H9 Tumbler($7); we had her as our best last week but with her 59kegs she was back last on the corner (not ideal) she finished it off nicely. Back to the 12oom today and on the limit(54kgs) we will be surprised if she doesn’t salute in the last race of the Brisbane winter carnival.
Tumbler($4) 2nd (0.3L); saddle slipped as she jumped, hence she was further back then anticipated, moving into it as they turned but held up for a long way, once clear she motored to the line.Should have won but that’s racing.
BR3 H5 Just Call Me Louie($12); we have thrown ourselves on the sword here, you can forget this horses last run at Rockhampton and go on his previous run. He beat Bush Caviar and Mason’s Chance with 60.5kegs and drops to the minimum here and from the draw should get a reasonable run, he has been placed here and the distance no probs.
Just Call Me Louie($11) 4th (0.5L); beautiful ride by M.Cahill just left a little flat footed when they went at the top of the straight but ran on stoutly.
MR6 H6 Rossman($20); if the track stays soft it shouldn’t matter as he is bred to swim. He has been racing very well of late, he gets a long way back but rallies late. He meets Mr. Money Bags(on pacer) and Aroha Te Mana better at the weights, as long as there is not an on pace bias he should be charging late we think he is way over the odds.
Rossman($10) 6th (2.9L); very surprised he was up sitting second behind the leader, having said that he looked like he was jog trotting and loomed large at the distance, momentarily hit the front but no sooner got there and he wilted. Okay run but best when ridden back.
Doomben Track Good; Randwick Track Heavy; Flemington Track Soft;” Track ratings are like a box of chocolates” and thats all I have to say about that. Two spruik horses last week and guess what both beaten Surprise! Surprise! So Splendid and Unlikely Story once again you would have thought they were in a walkover (one horse race) Seriously!!! Mixed bag for us last week a horror day in Our Best section but 17 winners in our top four for multi players and 5 trifectas, first four, early quaddie at Moonee Valley and beaten a pimple in the main quaddie(Ducimus). Another cracking day here in Queensland and the Tatts Tiara is a pearler Savannah Amour should be there when the whips are cracking.
